The first polyester production line of Yizheng Chemical fiber was formally built and put into operation in 1984, and it is still in operation. Zhejiang Ningbo, Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Co., Ltd., the largest crude oil processing enterprise in China. Black crude oil is refined into gasoline, diesel oil, ethylene and p-xylene, among which p-xylene is an important raw material for "Dacron".

In 1988, Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Co., Ltd. took the lead in processing imported crude oil in China. Today, 60000 tons of crude oil are processed and refined here every day. The Chinese petrochemical industry is striving to catch up and rewrite the map of the world chemical fiber industry.
