From the regional perspective, the growth of cotton in Xinjiang is still worse than that of last year, but the disease and insect pests are lighter than last month. It is estimated that the cotton yield per unit area in Xinjiang will still drop by 0.71%, and the total output will be 5.2321 million tons, with a year-on-year decrease of 0.22%, and the reduction rate will be 0.9 percentage points smaller than that in the previous period. In July, most areas of the Yellow River Basin suffered from drought in the early stage and heavy rainfall at the end of the month, and some cotton lodging occurred, and serious areas had no harvests. It is estimated that the cotton yield in the Yellow River Basin will drop by 0.93% year on year, and the yield will be 263300 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 33.45%, and the decrease rate will be 2.15% larger than that in the previous period. The climate in most cotton areas of the Yangtze River Basin is stable and normal, and the overall growth of cotton is good. It is estimated that the yield per unit area of the basin will increase by 24.48% year on year, and the yield will be 231700 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 6.76%, and the reduction rate will be reduced by 2.35 percentage points compared with the previous period.
