    ASEAN Silk Road E-Commerce Forum

    The reporter learned from the Department of Commerce of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region that 2021 China ASEAN Silk Road e-commerce forum will be held in Nanning on September 10.

    The forum, with the theme of "new impetus for the development of e-commerce in the new era", is hosted by the people's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and undertaken by the Department of e-commerce and information technology of the Ministry of Commerce and the Department of Commerce of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. At that time, well-known experts and scholars in the field of e-commerce between China and ASEAN, as well as responsible persons of e-commerce enterprises, will gather together to share highlights on hot topics such as the new development of e-commerce, digital transformation, live e-commerce, and new business models in the post epidemic era.

    In recent years, Guangxi has continuously carried out various e-commerce brand activities, through online and offline interaction, innovated sales mode, and promoted the rapid and stable growth of online retail transaction scale. From January to May this year, the online retail sales in Guangxi reached 26.23 billion yuan, up 42.2% year on year. The growing new consumption has injected new vitality into the economy of Guangxi, and has shown its strong potential. It has become the key engine to promote the rapid recovery of consumption in Guangxi.

    According to the relevant person in charge of the Department of Commerce of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, since 2020, Guangxi has held a series of large-scale consumption promotion activities of "Guangxi 33 consumption Festival", giving play to the effect of "one festival leading to hundreds of industries", which has effectively promoted the rapid recovery of Guangxi consumption. Up to now, the "Guangxi 33 consumption Festival" has been held for three seasons in total, with 1.819 million participating businesses, 330 million consumption coupons, 37 million participants and 340.93 billion yuan of transaction value.
