The silk industry in Guangxi has a long history. Guangxi has become an important silkworm cocoon and silk production base in China and even in the world, and plays an important role in consolidating China's position as a big country in the global cocoon and silk market.

According to Zeng Xiangping, deputy director of the cocoon and silk Office of the autonomous region, as the pacesetter and pillar industry of Guangxi textile industry, the total output value of cocoon and silk industry accounts for nearly 50% of Guangxi's textile industry, becoming the pioneer in driving the development of Guangxi's textile industry. There are more than 100 cocoon and silk processing enterprises in the region, and nearly 30 enterprises whose main business income exceeds 100 million yuan. There are 1000 groups of automatic silk reeling machines in the region, with a total of 400000 threads, accounting for more than 40% of the total silk reeling scale in China. The popularization rate of automatic silk reeling machines has reached 100%, which is at the advanced level in China; 610 sets of intelligent silk rapier looms have basically formed the production capacity of medium and high-grade raw silk products; The annual production of silk quilt is 1.8 million beds. Yizhou and Huanjiang have become "China's high-quality cocoon and silk production base", Hechi has become the "new silk capital of China", creating the "Guangxi miracle" in the history of China's cocoon and silk development, and forming the development pattern of "the world's cocoon silk looks at China, and China's cocoon silk looks at Guangxi".

At the press conference, Lai Yijun, President of Guangxi cocoon and silk industry association, said that the holding of "Guangxi's top 10 raw silk and top 10 silk brands by brands" was held at the right time.
