    On October 10, 2021 China plant dyeing industry standardization construction forum and initiation ceremony of plant dyeing traceability certification system project sponsored by China plant dyeing (plant dyeing) industry alliance was held in the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai). More than 100 people attended the forum, including leaders of China Textile Industry Federation, representatives of member units of China plant dyeing (grass and tree dyeing) industry alliance, elites of textile and garment industry and representatives of news media from all over the country.

    The forum was presided over by Ma Zhihui, vice president of China Textile Construction Planning Institute and vice chairman of China plant dyeing (plant dyeing) industry alliance.

    China plant dyeing (plant dyeing) industry alliance was established in 2018. It takes green manufacturing and sustainable development as the main theme, takes enterprises as the main body, takes the market as the guidance, takes the government, production, learning, research and application as the basis, and takes the sharing of intellectual property rights as the feature, to connect the standard setting of terminal products, the technical breakthrough of printing and dyeing links, and Intangible cultural heritage and modern fashion organic integration of the whole industry chain integrated innovation organization.

    In 2019, under the promotion of the alliance, the plant dyeing standardization working group of the Standardization Technical Committee of China Textile Federation was established to jointly promote the system construction from scientific research to market of China's plant dyeing industry, fill in the system deficiency of the world plant dyeing standard, and consolidate the development foundation of leading the global plant dyeing industry.

    Li Lingshen, vice president of China Textile Industry Federation, President of China Industrial Textiles Industry Association and director of Standardization Technical Committee of China Textile Federation, attended the forum and said in his speech: plant dyeing comes from nature; plant dyeing industry conforms to China's green development concept and mode; energy-saving and consumption reducing technology in plant dyeing industry Recycling technology and pollutant emission reduction technology bring about further cost optimization and long-term stable benefits; The green property of plant dyeing products also helps to break the foreign green trade barriers and become an important choice to influence consumers' preferences.

    Zhang Deliang, vice president of Shanghai Academy of Textile Sciences and deputy leader of plant dyeing working group of China Textile Federation Standard Committee, introduced the development of standardization construction of plant dyeing at home and abroad. He said that since the establishment of the working group on plant dyeing standardization, a number of industrial standards and group standards for vegetable dyes have been implemented successively. The industry standard "technical requirements for quality of plant dyed woven garments" which is being formulated specifies the terms and definitions, dye characteristics, physical and chemical properties, instructions for use and inspection methods of the technical requirements for vegetable dyeing of woven garments, It is expected to be submitted to the National Standards Commission by the end of the year.

    Professor Yu Zhicheng, member of the expert technical committee of plant dyeing Union and Professor Yu Zhicheng of Zhejiang University of science and technology, pointed out in the report "technical problems and coping strategies in the process of standardization of plant dyeing" that the establishment of identification methods and standards of plant dyes, so that consumers can rest assured and buy satisfactory plant dyeing products, is the top priority to ensure the development of plant dyeing. While further improving the qualitative detection methods and standards, increasing metal ion detection, using qualitative and quantitative methods is the direction of current standardization work.

    Ji Junling, Professor of Changzhou University, vice chairman of China plant dyeing (plant dyeing) industry alliance and general manager of Changzhou Meisheng biomaterials Co., Ltd., was selected as the "2020 China Textile intangible cultural heritage Promotion Ambassador" for her 12 years of persistence and persistence in plant dyeing, mining and innovative practice. Changzhou Meisheng biomaterials Co., Ltd., founded by her, has realized the standardized and industrialized production of plant dyes, and formed 33 different types of plant dye powder products with 7 basic color systems, which can partially replace synthetic dyes.

Only by means of modern science and technology to recreate production and modern fashion forms can traditional technology remain prosperous, adhere to creative transformation and innovative development, and find the connection between intangible cultural heritage and modern life, To meet the people's growing needs for a better life.

    In his concluding speech, Feng dehu, President of China Textile Construction Planning Institute and chairman of China plant dyeing industry alliance, shared with you the future development trend of plant dyeing industry from three aspects of carbon emission reduction, standardization and traceability.

    He elaborated from the perspective of dye preparation and printing and dyeing process, and calculated through real production data collection that 27 tons of carbon emission could be reduced by 27 tons per ton of plant dyeing needle knitted fabric compared with synthetic dyes, which confirmed that the plant dyeing industry was in line with the scientific conclusion of "achieving carbon peak by 2030 and carbon neutralization by 2060".

    As the leader of the plant dyeing working group of China Federation of textile standards committee, Feng dehu announced at the meeting the short-term task of drafting the group standards of Gardenia jasminoides, Zanthoxylum bungeanum, pomegranate peel and Dioscorea cirrhosa, which will continue to fill the lack of the world plant dyeing standard system and consolidate the development foundation of China's leading the global plant dyeing industry.

    Finally, Feng dehu made a detailed introduction to the "plant dyeing traceability certification system" developed by China plant dyeing (plant dyeing) industry alliance. It is reported that the system takes six levels of linked data from raw materials of vegetable dyes to terminal textiles as the core, and provides certification for the traceability of ingredients, logistics tracking and interactive marketing of products through the form of "one thing, one code".

    At the end of the forum, Yu Zhicheng, Ji Junling, Xie Qing, Feng dehu, Zhang Deliang, Chen Wen and Ma Zhihui (from left to right) jointly witnessed by the guests, Feng dehu announced the formal start of the plant dyeing traceability certification system project, and released the basic image of visual identification of the traceability system.
