Yao Yuangen, researcher of Fujian Institute of material structure, Chinese Academy of Sciences, discussed the development direction of coal to ethylene glycol technology and industry, focusing on the current application of coal to ethylene glycol products in related polyester enterprises and the influencing factors on the quality of downstream polyester products.

       Ye Guangdou, Professor of Sichuan University, introduced the development status of continuous basalt fiber in China. He suggested: the industry should strengthen the basic research on technology, break through the key core technology of continuous basalt fiber raw material and the production technology of tank furnace method, large bushing plate and intelligent fiber, strengthen the research on fiber performance and application, carry out the research on the iterative technology of basalt melt preparation, reasonably arrange the whole industrial chain, and promote the high-quality development of continuous basalt fiber industry.

Green energy such as wind power, photovoltaic and other industries need a lot of carbon fiber, but the production of carbon fiber itself needs to consume a lot of electricity. In this system, carbon fiber can be used as wind turbine blades to produce hydrogen, which can promote the development of hydrogen energy vehicles.        Plastic particles are an unavoidable problem in the sustainable development of chemical fiber industry. Clothes washing and wearing are the important sources of fiber microplastics in the environment.        At the enterprise level, the influencing factors of carbon accounting mainly include energy consumption intensity and total amount, energy structure and product structure. The accounting boundary of product carbon footprint is generally from the acquisition of raw materials, the production of energy and materials, the manufacture and use of products, and the treatment and final disposal of products at the end of their life. At present, according to the purpose of enterprises, accounting boundary is often defined as "cradle to gate" and "gate to gate". At the forum, enterprise leaders from Saideli, Quanzhou Haitian and Zhejiang Jiaren shared the experience and achievements of chemical fiber enterprises in the exploration and practice of green development on "sustainable vision construction of chemical fiber enterprises", "exploration and sharing of green fiber application", "Research on frontier technology of waste textile recycling", etc.

       The technical problems of waste textile recycling have been concerned. China is a big textile producer, but the recycling rate of waste textiles is low. The traditional physical recovery method can not realize the permanent recycling of waste textiles, and the existing chemical methods can not meet the development needs of high value recycled polyester products.
