The national advanced functional fiber innovation center is the 13th National manufacturing innovation center established by the Ministry of industry and information technology on June 25, 2019. Since its establishment, the innovation center has set the goal of leading the industry in the fields of new fiber materials, high-tech textiles, intelligent manufacturing, green manufacturing, etc., to create a "birthplace" of key core technologies in the fiber industry, a "gathering place" of scientific and technological innovation resources, and a "booster" for the transformation of scientific research achievements.
Here, the national advanced functional fiber innovation center, together with textile and clothing weekly, jointly launched a series of reports on how fibers change the world -- research direction of the national advanced functional fiber Innovation Center Alliance. By introducing the innovative research and development achievements of the shareholders of the innovation center and alliance enterprises, the development status and future direction of advanced functional fiber are presented.
In today's society, textiles are everywhere, whether it's the moon or the sea, whether it's rail transit or infrastructure construction, whether it's epidemic relief or intelligent monitoring. These textiles are inseparable from the continuous development of advanced fiber materials and products technology.
High tech textiles not only carry the development of textile industry, but also the development of high-tech industries such as national defense, transportation, environmental protection, health and so on. Since 2021, as the key force to promote the collaborative innovation of the whole industry chain with fiber as the core in the new era, the national advanced functional fiber Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as the Innovation Center) has united with alliance enterprises to gather more strength and make a certain contribution in accelerating the application and transformation of innovation achievements.
Safety guarantee with advanced functional fiber
In 2020, a sudden epidemic situation reflects the shortcomings and deficiencies of protective fiber materials and products in China. In order to speed up the key core technology innovation of fiber materials and products for emergency support and public safety, the innovation center and Shenghong holding group set up the special fund for scientific research on fiber materials and products for emergency protection and public safety, Focus on the research and development of key scientific research projects related to fiber materials and products for emergency support and public safety. Under the active promotion of the innovation center, 31 scientific research projects were supported, including 6 mask projects, 14 advanced functional fiber and products projects for protection, 10 innovative protective fiber and products projects, and 1 testing and evaluation project for protective fibers and products. These latest research and development achievements were presented to the public in May 2021.
In these projects, a series of achievements of many enterprises and universities have been collected, mainly involving the detection and evaluation of high barrier functional fiber materials such as masks and protective clothing, lightweight and comfortable textile materials and composite materials, nano and biomedical fiber materials and products, intelligent fiber and intelligent protective materials and products, and protective fibers and products, A number of new materials and new processes have been industrialized.
For example, the team of Zhu Meifang, academician of Chinese Academy of engineering, has broken through the dependence of medical protective materials on high melt index polypropylene and the key technology of "neck sticking" by adopting instantaneous pressure relief spinning technology, and developed high barrier, high moisture permeability and high wear-resistant safety protection materials, which can be applied to protective textiles such as masks and protective clothing; The team of Zhejiang University of technology has achieved the balance of high efficiency and low resistance by preparing PTFE nanofiber membrane and spunbonded filament soft support processing, and realized the industrialization of repeatable masks; Jiahai new materials team independently developed nozzle differentiation technology and insulation technology, overcome the problem of high-voltage electric field interference between multiple nozzles, and realized the industrialization of high-pressure protection and high permeability and moisture permeability nanofiber membrane; By using the technology of preparation and functional modification of chitosan based biodegradable medical nanofibers, hasmore team has realized the industrial production of marine biodegradable chitosan materials at the scale of 1000 tons and the large-scale production of multifunctional protective masks and protective clothing; The team of Beijing University of chemical technology adopted "zero solvent" melt differential electrospinning technology to prepare fiber membrane and mask with polylactic acid as raw material, realizing the whole process green manufacturing; Jiangnan University team built a non-interference "wear" type monitoring clothing and 12 lead ECG monitoring clothing and diagnosis system based on multiple physical signs information, and used the cardiopulmonary coupling technology to monitor the population diseases with major epidemic situation; Dalian Ruiguang team developed composite high-strength protective nonwovens, which were commended by the State Council for their outstanding contributions in the material support for epidemic prevention and control; The Institute of textile industry standardization has established and improved the performance evaluation standard of repeatable medical protective fabrics; Shandong kuanyuan has carried out research on the key technology of new bio based activated carbon fiber composite products; The formation, structure and properties of flash spun UHMWPE nanofibers were studied in Tianjin University of technology.
In 2021, the innovation center will continue to give full play to the advantages of China's advanced fiber materials based industrial chain, and promote the transformation and application of achievements in research institutes, key laboratories, industry innovation centers, production enterprises and testing institutions in fiber materials related fields, from the protection function and intelligent fiber and products, professional and individual protective fiber and products, etc It supports 20 projects for R & D and achievement transformation in three directions, including detection, analysis and evaluation of fibers and products for safety protection.
In May 2021, the innovation center also launched a public service platform for collaborative innovation of safety and protective textile materials technology. The platform is responsible for the development and external service of testing and evaluation technology and ability of high-performance fiber and composite materials for safety and protection, as well as the development and application of key common testing technologies and capabilities, It will boost the development of the industry.
In addition, in 2021, Quanzhou Haitian materials technology, an innovation center alliance enterprise, with its R & D advantages in functional textiles and combined with the actual needs of front-line medical staff, participated in the formulation of the group standard of "antibacterial and antifouling medical professional clothing", which better promoted the development of the antibacterial and antifouling medical professional clothing industry.
Technological innovation has a long way to go. Although some achievements have been made in the field of personal protection textiles, the innovation center is not satisfied with this. In the future, it is proposed that the alliance enterprises will complement the types of personal protection products, improve the performance indicators, and basically meet the individual protection needs of various emergency events, and the personal health care products will basically meet the needs of the people for high-quality life, Basically realize the independent and effective supply of high-end medical textile materials.
Promote the development of intelligent fiber technology and products
Compared with traditional textiles, intelligent textile is a new functional fiber which combines new electronic components with textile technology and introduces artificial intelligence technology into textile design system, which belongs to a new field. At present, the market also puts forward a certain demand for intelligent wearable textile products. Wang Yuping, director of the national advanced functional fiber innovation center, said that as a key force to promote collaborative innovation of the whole industry chain with fiber as the core in the new era, the innovation center has been deployed in the aspect of intelligent wearable since its establishment. After the Key Laboratory of intelligent fiber technology and products of textile industry established under the leadership of Donghua University is recognized as the Key Laboratory of textile industry in 2019, a joint laboratory will be established in the innovation center to jointly promote the development of intelligent fiber technology and products with universities and enterprise teams.
According to the introduction, the Key Laboratory of intelligent fiber technology and products takes high-performance fiber for extreme environment, intelligent fiber and wearable technology and green manufacturing of fiber life cycle as its three hands, combines international frontier and national demand, technology and application basic research, forms original academic ideas and achievements, and leads the development of disciplines and international fibers, To meet the people's growing expectations for a better life. In the future, the laboratory will be arranged according to four tasks. The first is to break through the bottleneck of common key technologies and core components, fill in the gap of core equipment localization, master the upstream autonomy, and realize the broad development prospects of intelligent fiber fabrics in the field of national economy. The second is to produce a number of original research results with international influence, solve the problem of reliable technology source of intelligent fiber fabrics in China, and lead the landing and development of intelligent fiber fabrics and other industries. Third, it will become the gathering place of high-end talents, the source of core technology and the verification place of reliability technology in the field of international advanced intelligent fiber fabrics, which will provide powerful assistance for China's intelligent fiber fabrics to participate in the international competition. The fourth is to improve the systematization and support capacity of national major science and technology infrastructure of smart fiber fabrics, realize the leap from tracking to leading, and create a world-class high-end Innovation Center for smart fiber fabrics.
During the same period, the innovation center also organized the establishment of the first academic committee of the intelligent fiber and products laboratory. Wang Yuping, director of the national advanced functional fiber innovation center, served as the chairman, Wang Rui, Professor of Beijing Institute of fashion and Wang Hongzhi, Professor of Donghua University, served as the vice chairman. It was composed of 15 experts and entrepreneurs in textile and related fields.
The innovation center also actively leads the alliance enterprises to increase the research and development of intelligent textiles. On February 8, 2021, the innovation center, together with Shenghong group, Beijing Research Institute of new materials and industrial technology and Macintosh (Beijing) Garment Co., Ltd., donated intelligent heating and thermal vest to Changping Co., Ltd. of Beijing Environmental Sanitation Group. The donated intelligent heating vest is made of bee super elastic polyester fabric and carbon nanotube / graphene flexible heating material. It has three temperature control gears and can reach 35 ~ 55 ℃ in 1 ~ 3 minutes. The carbon nanotube / graphene flexible heating material of vest can adjust and control temperature, and achieve excellent physiotherapy function by emitting far-infrared ray to human body. The vest donation ceremony is not only to send out the warmth in winter, but also to let advanced fibers out of the laboratory, truly benefit people, and let people feel the power of intelligent textiles.
In addition, the innovation center also connects with the smart sports innovation research center of the Scientific Research Institute of the General Administration of sport of the people's Republic of China to cooperate on Intelligent wearable.
Wang Yuping believes that intelligent fibers and products are not only a technology, but also an industry. In the future, they will have broad application fields in health monitoring, medical care, sports training, etc. For this reason, the innovation center proposed that during the "14th five year plan" period, it would focus on the development and research of the application of special fibers in intelligent textiles, through cooperation with electronic, new materials, medical and other related industries, to overcome the design and processing technology of intelligent textiles, to establish the performance testing and evaluation system of intelligent textiles, and to develop temperature sensitive, photosensitive, and intelligent textiles Home textiles such as intelligent wearable textiles with detection functions, break through key technologies of intelligent clothing and household textiles preparation, and initially establish the industrial chain of related products. It is believed that with the development and innovation of related technologies, intelligent fibers and products will bring a new look to the society.
