In addition, they need to continue to bear the relevant costs such as rent and labor, so the major brands are generally facing great business pressure.     In this context, in addition to actively self-help, brands are also seeking external support and assistance.

    Recently, 50 clothing business enterprises jointly launched a proposal to express the relevant demands on the plight of rent. Specifically:

    1. If the store is closed during the epidemic period, the rent during the closing period will be reduced or reduced;

    2. If the store is not closed during the epidemic period, but the area is classified as medium and high risk area, the rent will be reduced, the rent will be postponed through negotiation, and the rent will be changed from season to month;

    Among the list of proposals, in addition to an institutional unit of Shanghai garment industry association, 47 are apparel retail brands headquartered in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, and two are from Xiamen. It includes famous chain brands such as Samma, balabalabala, taipingniao, Jinba, Bense, Rococo, lily, zhuoshini, hanger, sangun, me +, the green party, Sanfu, etc.

Among them, leasing has become the most urgent point for brand merchants to be bailed out. Nearly 95% of the enterprises interviewed expressed their demands for rent reduction and exemption, including rent reduction and rent exemption, deduction and minimum guarantee, adjustment of delivery date and rent free period. Secondly, issuing consumption vouchers (58%), expecting relevant departments to reduce taxes (47%), and reducing labor costs such as social security (42%) are among the urgent demands of the enterprises interviewed.

    In fact, in view of the serious decline in the rental capacity of brand merchants and the strong demand for rent relief, some measures have been taken by the existing shopping centers, but it is obviously not so easy to reduce the rent in an all-round way.
