Melitta Baumeister, who graduated from Parsons School of design with a major in fashion design and society, is a German designer developing in New York and has been shortlisted for the 2016 LVMH Young Designer Award.

Melitta Baumeister spring / summer 2023 series is full of fun to realize. Special fabrics, unique shapes and fantastic structure constitute this series. For example, the "chair skirt" uses inflatable materials, and cartilage is used for 3D pleats, and the volume is created by using wrinkles on the cross stripes... The designer adds wooden support to the silhouette to support the clothing, and the dress made of inflatable material becomes a big highlight.
