They are effective carriers for local intangible cultural heritage protection and rural revitalization, and have played an active role in driving local people to find jobs nearby and flexibly.

The identification of intangible cultural heritage workshops should meet the following conditions: first, relying on one or more representative intangible cultural heritage projects in the region, or traditional handicrafts with characteristics, a certain mass base and market prospects to carry out production; The second is to have the site, water, electricity, heating, tools and equipment that can carry out production; Third, with the focus on the poverty alleviation population and the monitoring and assistance objects, the number of employment of the poverty alleviation population is large and the results are good. The specific conditions can refer to the identification standards of local employment assistance workshops, and combine the actual production and operation conditions of intangible cultural heritage workshops to reasonably determine the site, absorb and drive the number of employees, continue to do a good job in helping people out of poverty, monitor the employment assistance of the assistance objects, consolidate and expand the achievements of poverty alleviation, and help comprehensively promote rural revitalization.

In the period of poverty alleviation, relying on intangible cultural heritage resources, nearly 1000 intangible cultural heritage poverty alleviation and employment workshops have been built in the former national poor counties. These workshops have become the main focus of carrying out the work of intangible cultural heritage to help targeted poverty alleviation. Through organizing skills training, exhibition and sales activities, they have played a positive role in driving people's employment and income. In December 2021, the General Office of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the General Office of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the General Department of the National Bureau of Rural Revitalization jointly issued the Notice on Continuously Promoting the Construction of Intangible Cultural Heritage Workshops to Promote Rural Revitalization, which clearly stated that after the completion of poverty alleviation goals and tasks, the intangible cultural heritage poverty alleviation and employment workshop was renamed as an intangible cultural heritage workshop.
