       Domestic high-performance fiber materials make people proud

       As the "pyramid" in the field of fiber materials, the production technology, equipment and products of high-performance fiber materials have been blocked by international developed countries. Vigorously developing high-performance fiber industry, breaking foreign blockades and monopolies, and further improving China's military equipment strength and industrial upgrading of the national economy have always been a major direction for China's chemical fiber industry to promote independent innovation, transformation and upgrading, and have made major breakthroughs in recent years.
       During the "13th Five Year Plan" period, China's high-performance fiber new material technology has steadily improved to meet the development needs of aerospace, national defense and military industry, environmental protection, medical and health care and other fields. The technology of dry jet wet spinning and wet spinning of carbon fiber is gradually improved, the production efficiency is further improved, and the high-end product varieties are gradually enriched. The T1000, M40, M40J, M55J and other carbon fibers have been equipped with engineering preparation capacity, and the 25K large tow carbon fiber has achieved industrial production; Breakthroughs have been made in the key technologies and equipment for the engineering of kiloton para aramid fiber, and the high strength and high model para aramid fiber products have been localized; High strength and high modulus polyimide fiber, meta aramid fiber, polyphenylene sulfide fiber and continuous basalt fiber have achieved rapid development.
       Carbon fiber is one of the representative materials. Zhang Dingjin introduced that the development of Zhongfu Shenying Carbon Fiber Company for more than ten years is just the stage when the domestic carbon fiber industry as a whole has broken through "from scratch". Based on independent innovation, the company has independently developed the rapid homogenization pre oxidation and carbonization integration technology of PAN fiber, built the first dry jet wet spinning kiloton high strength/hundred ton medium modulus carbon fiber industrial production system with independent intellectual property rights, become the first enterprise in China and the third enterprise in the world to overcome the problems of dry jet wet spinning process, and innovatively realized the T700, T800 The industrial mass production of carbon fiber of different levels, such as T1000, has successfully filled the gap of high-end technology of carbon fiber in China and broken the long-term monopoly of foreign giants in the Chinese market. In 2017, the company's "dry jet wet spinning kiloton high strength/hundred ton medium model carbon fiber industrialization key technology and application" project won the first prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, which is the highest award in China's carbon fiber industry. Today, the carbon fiber of Zhongfu Shenying has been successfully used in aerospace, satellite, high-speed rail and other fields.

       The polyimide fiber of Aoshen New Material is also a typical domestic high-performance fiber. Wang Shihua introduced that Aoshen New Material has been engaged in polyimide fiber research with Donghua University since 2006. After more than ten years of development, it has built the world's first 1000 ton dry spinning polyimide fiber production line. In 2016, it won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, twice won the first prize of the China Textile Industry Federation for Science and Technology Progress Award, and has more than 50 invention patents.
       "It is very difficult to form polyimide fibers, and there are not many enterprises that can really realize industrialization in the world. So far, the world's production capacity is only 4000 tons. Now we can produce various types of polyimide fibers, which can be used in high-temperature filtration, gas separation, steel smelting, waste incineration, special protection and other fields. After deep processing into honeycomb materials It is widely used in the aerospace field. " Wang Shihua introduced.
       Self control requires the joint efforts of both the supplier and the demander
       One generation of materials, one generation of equipment and one generation of industry. Materials are not only the basis for the development of the national economy and human society, but also the guide to drive the innovation and upgrading of traditional industries and the vigorous development of strategic emerging industries. It is more important to apply domestic advanced materials to equipment to achieve maximum value and sustainability.
       Chen Guang said that the production and design of materials should follow the principle of demand traction and technology promotion. Material producers and equipment designers complement each other. The manufacturer of materials should study according to the market demand, and the equipment designer should have a unique vision to find new materials; The manufacturer of materials should show the advantages and disadvantages of materials to the equipment designer, who should rely on wisdom to maximize the advantages of materials, avoid the disadvantages of materials, and put forward demands on the material designer.
       Duan Xiaoping mentioned that knowing oneself and the enemy is invincible. In order to develop the material industry well, the most important thing is to let the material producers see the gaps, and analyze and solve problems according to these gaps. How to find this gap requires the deep participation of material users.
       In the past three years, due to the epidemic situation and Sino US trade friction, some key materials that used to rely on imports have been replaced by domestic ones and have been highly recognized. This includes domestic carbon fiber. In 2020, China began to use domestic carbon fiber in wind power generation, photovoltaic power generation, hydrogen energy, aerospace, sporting goods and other fields, creating a history of profitability in the whole industry of carbon fiber, which continues to this day. "Through the practical application of domestic carbon fiber, the user feels the high cost performance of domestic carbon fiber." Duan Xiaoping introduced.
       Zhang Dingjin also confirmed the use of domestic carbon fiber in recent years with data. "In 2022, the use of domestic carbon fiber will be 45000 tons, while the import will be only 29000 tons. This year, there is no doubt that domestic carbon fiber will definitely exceed the import." He said that China's research and development of carbon fiber has advantages that other countries cannot match. We both have mechanisms specialized in evaluating carbon fiber, and carbon fiber enterprises also have their own priorities, some specialized in civil use, and some specialized in high performance, Some specialize in the next generation of products. According to this situation, China's carbon fiber performance will be higher and more perfect in the future, the amount will be greater, and it will soon go to the world.
       Polyimide, known as the "top of the polymer material pyramid", is the polymer material with the best high-temperature resistance that can be put into practical use at present. Wang Shihua introduced that polyimide fiber, because of its relatively light weight, was initially used in the high-temperature filter material industry, and later began to expand to the special protection field, involving aerospace, national defense and military industry, etc. "I used to go out to the market every day, but now I sit at home and wait for customers to consult. More and more fields are willing to try polyimide fiber."
       As for how to realize the independent and controllable production of polyimide fiber, Wang Shihua believes that we should look at it from the three dimensions of technology and equipment, raw materials and talents, which have all been met by Aoshen New Material. First of all, Aoshen New Material has the world's first 1000 ton dry spinning polyimide fiber production line, and has independent intellectual property processes and equipment; Secondly, the raw materials needed are all from domestic petroleum and chemical products; Thirdly, the company attaches great importance to the construction of talent team and has a stable R&D team. It can be said that the polyimide fiber can truly achieve autonomy and controllability.
       Since joining Donghua University, Xu Guiyin has deeply felt that the current country attaches great importance to the construction of talent team in high-performance fiber material industry. He said that in recent years, the state encouraged college teachers to sink into front-line enterprises to understand the actual development of the industry, and colleges and universities often set up platforms to attract entrepreneurs to come to the school, exchange pain points, carry out cooperation, and solve practical problems in the industry.        Duan Xiaoping also called on all parties to investigate more domestic high-performance fiber materials and give more opportunities to domestic enterprises to experience its high cost performance.
       As a user of high-performance fiber materials, Tian Aiqin said that in recent years, rail transit equipment has been developing in the direction of high-speed, lightweight, green and environmental protection, among which high-performance fiber materials play a vital role in ensuring the safety, reliability, comfort and operation efficiency of rail transit. CRRC's high-speed railway industry has now entered the stage of continuous innovation. The core technology is to apply materials to give passengers more satisfied comfort and experience. For the next generation of high-speed rail manufacturing, carbon fiber is likely to be the main material. It is hoped that the carbon fiber in the future will not only have economic advantages, but also maintain stable and excellent performance. It is also hoped that it will have more other external functions, such as heat insulation, noise reduction, flame retardancy, impact resistance, etc.
       Be good at yourself and meet opportunities without fear of challenges
       Although the development of high-performance fiber materials in China is fast, there are still many areas in urgent need of improvement. Zhang Dingjin introduced that there is still a big gap between domestic carbon fiber and international developed countries. The T1100 carbon fiber from Toray, Japan, only achieved mass production of 1000 tons last year after more than ten years, while the T1000 carbon fiber in China is still 100 tons at present. There is a gap in time and magnitude, which needs our attention. In addition, the construction of our talent team and database also faces many challenges.
       Chen Guang summarized the development of domestic high-performance fiber materials with four words of "opportunity and challenge". He said that challenges mean opportunities, and opportunities are always reserved for those who are prepared. Material developers must strengthen their own training and prepare in advance to meet the upcoming opportunities.
       Duan Xiaoping finally said that if China's advanced materials want to truly achieve high-quality development and become advanced, on the one hand, material developers need to continue to invest and innovate for a long time, and on the other hand, users need to use them boldly.
