According to the report of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), from September 22 to 28, 2023, the contracted export volume of American upland cotton in 2023/24 will be 54480 tons, significantly higher than the average level of the previous week and the previous four weeks. The main buyers are China (28647 tons), Vietnam (15572 tons, including 182 tons from cancellation), Macao (3927 tons), Mexico (3178 tons, including 91 tons from cancellation) Thailand (1430 tons, including 45 tons of re export from Japan and 409 tons of cancellation), Honduras (272 tons) and Pakistan (227 tons) cancelled the contract.

In 2023/24, the export shipment volume of American upland cotton will be 33959 tons, down 6% from the previous week and 1% from the average level of the previous four weeks, mainly to China (17275 tons), Pakistan (3296 tons), Mexico (2815 tons), Bangladesh (2497 tons) and Vietnam (2043 tons).

The contracted export volume of American upland cotton in 2024/25 is 499 tons, and the main buyer is Pakistan.

From September 22 to 28, 2023, the contracted export volume of American Pima cotton in 2023/24 will be 1090 tons, down 69% from the previous week and 5% from the average level of the previous four weeks. The main buyers are China (840 tons), India (250 tons, including 182 tons from the cancellation), South Korea (204 tons), and Vietnam (204 tons).

In 2023/24, the export shipment volume of American Pima cotton will be 1158 tons, a significant increase over the previous week, and 27% more than the average level of the previous four weeks. It will be mainly shipped to India (545 tons), China (295 tons), Pakistan (272 tons), and Thailand (23 tons).
