International Trade: Zibo'S Total Import And Export Value To Vietnam Has Reached 3.654 Billion Yuan

On the morning of December 14, in the electromechanical product production workshop of Lutai Textile Co., Ltd., workers were making textile machinery and other products in a tense and orderly manner. According to statistics, in the first 11 months of this year, the company has exported more than 40 million yuan of textile machinery products to Vietnam.

"Since this year, our company has signed orders with many enterprises in Southeast Asian countries such as Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, etc. Our textile electromechanical products have been welcomed and recognized by Southeast Asian customers, and the export value to Vietnam has almost doubled compared with last year." said Zhang Lan, the foreign trade manager of Lutai Textile Co., Ltd.

This year marks the 15th anniversary of the establishment of a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between China and Vietnam. China and Vietnam are linked by mountains and rivers. In the field of goods trade, bilateral trade has maintained a good momentum of development. Since 2016, Vietnam has become China's largest trading partner in ASEAN, and the industrial chain supply chain cooperation between the two sides is close. According to Zibo Customs data, from January to November this year, the total value of our city's import and export goods to Vietnam was 3.654 billion yuan, including 432 million yuan in November.

Specifically, in terms of exports, the value of our exports to Vietnam in the first 11 months reached 2.971 billion yuan. According to the statistics of Zibo Customs, electromechanical products, textile yarns, fabrics and their products, and basic organic chemicals rank top three in the list of our city's exports to Vietnam, with exports of 708 million yuan, 654 million yuan, and 252 million yuan respectively, accounting for more than half of the total export value.

Among them, electromechanical products are mainly textile machinery and its parts, automobiles and parts, with a year-on-year growth of 30.5%. Lutai Textile Co., Ltd., Shandong Tangjun Ouling Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and Shandong Amotec Electronics Co., Ltd. rank among the top three mechanical and electrical products exported to Vietnam. Electromechanical, textile and chemical industries, as the advantageous industries of our city, continue to show a strong momentum of development in the export market to Vietnam. It is worth mentioning that in the first 11 months, the export of high-tech products of our city to Vietnam was 77 million yuan, up 41.9% year on year.

In terms of import, in the first 11 months, the value of goods imported from Vietnam reached 683 million yuan. Textile yarns, fabrics and their products were the most valuable goods imported from Vietnam in the first 11 months, with a value of 268 million yuan, up 3.0% year on year. Leather, fur and its products, and basic organic chemicals rank second and third in import value, with the value of 9.14 million yuan and 5.7 million yuan respectively.

"This year, our company imported wet blue cowhide with a value of nearly 9 million yuan from Vietnam. Vietnam cowhide has the advantages of high quality and low price. The processed Vietnamese cowhide we imported can be used for high-end goods such as clothing, leather shoes, leather bags, etc., with a high profit margin," said Yu Zhiqiang, deputy general manager of Zibo Beisen Leather Industry Co., Ltd.

In addition, Vietnam also has a large number of frozen shrimp, catfish, tropical wood products, marble and other special agricultural and sideline products exported to our city.
