Business Standards reported that, In Bangladesh The Clothing Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) is scheduled to hold biennial elections on March 9. A total of 70 members competed for 35 directorships in the two groups, and 2496 voters are expected to vote. The term of office of the current Board of Directors began on April 12, 2021 and was originally scheduled to end on April 12, 2023. However, the government extended their term of office for one year through two separate six-month extensions, and the term of office of the current board of directors will last until April 12, 2024.
