While introducing, Xuan Dianwei also made an experiment with the reporter: he dropped a drop of water on the fabric, which was instantly absorbed by the fabric in less than a second. When the reporter touched the fabric, it was still very dry. "This fabric can absorb twice as much water as its own weight."

Since 2008, Dewei Technology has supplied 600000 sets of sportswear fabrics for torchbearers worldwide for the Beijing Olympic Games, and woven more than 30000 sets (pieces) of clothing fabrics for athletes and staff for the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, including indoor award-winning uniforms for Chinese athletes. The person in charge of the enterprise told the reporter that all the five or six fabrics provided for the Paris Olympic Games were made of environmentally friendly yarns. "For example, the recycling of coke bottles, leftovers, and worn fishing nets we see in our daily life are made into environment-friendly yarns by upstream enterprises, and we use these yarns to weave fabrics."
