    The world's first commercial carbon fiber subway train
       Harbin Fiberglass Research Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Harbin Fiberglass Research Institute") has carried out research and development of new RTM technology based on the original technology source project of China Building Materials Group. Faced with the challenges of equipment shortage, unknown process and insufficient experience, the R&D team has successfully developed a carbon fiber composite component bogie beam with composite molding of two processes through 15 months of in-depth research and technical breakthrough, starting from simulation analysis, process design and mold design, relying on domestic equipment and raw materials.

       The bogie beam is made of Zhongfu Shenying T700 carbon fiber. Compared with metro vehicles made of traditional metal materials, the bogie frame of carbon fiber metro vehicles has a weight reduction of 50%. Known as the "king of new materials", carbon fiber has more than 5 times the strength of steel, but less than 1/4 the weight of steel. It combines the advantages of light weight, high strength, fatigue resistance, corrosion resistance, etc., and has the advantages of lighter weight and energy saving. It is an excellent material for lightweight rail vehicles.

       The new technologies and materials of China Building Materials Group helped the successful launch of the train. While actively promoting the wide application of domestic carbon fiber composites in the field of rail transit and contributing China's wisdom and strength to the sustainable development of global transportation, they also demonstrated the product innovation ability of China Building Materials Group.
