In order to promote the solution of the "neck jam" problem of domestic competition clothing and footwear equipment, entrusted by the Department of Science and Education of the General Administration of Sport of the People's Republic of China and the Shooting and Archery Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of the People's Republic of China, under the high attention of the Party Committee of the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, the school established an interdisciplinary research and development team headed by Professor Wang Yongjin, Since 2022, it has started the in-depth research and development of competition equipment, including shooting uniforms, functional underwear, shooting shoes, etc.

Over the past two years, the team has carried out a series of research on the key technologies of shooting competition clothing through field research and basic scientific research such as anthropometry, posture analysis, material research and development, pattern comparison, mechanical relations, etc.: the material research and development team with Wang Yueping, Guan Xiaoyu, Wang Xiaochun, Zhang Liping, and Li Qiuyu as the core has independently developed the main clothing materials that meet the international competition standards The anti-skid and wear-resistant rubber sheets, specially selected leather materials and various auxiliary materials have achieved a breakthrough in key technologies of shooting suit materials; The clothing R&D team with Zhao Yuxiao, Zhu Xiaoxiao, Zhang Jianhua and Liu Zhen as the core makes four-dimensional dynamic patterns that meet the stability and comfort needs of athletes, and relies on the manufacturing strength of Golden Monkey Group to innovate, build and apply three-dimensional sewing characteristics; The design team with Song Yanjie, Wang Yanjun and Yang Hui as the core combines the personal preferences of athletes and uses Chinese traditional elements to demonstrate the confidence of national culture; Aiming at shooting shoes, the school gave full play to its advantageous disciplines to carry out key technology research and development. The defibrillation index of competition shoes developed by the shoe research and development team with Wang Yaohua, Su Yi and Yang Zihan as the core was far higher than that of foreign brands, and the design greatly improved the stability and comfort of athletes' center of gravity; After multi version testing, evaluation and improvement, the technical breakthrough of domestic shooting shoes has been achieved. Finally, with the support of the General Administration of Sport of the People's Republic of China, the leadership of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Education and the guidance of the school, the research and development team of Beifu successfully completed the design and development of shooting uniforms and equipment with China's own intellectual property rights. The equipment designed and developed has helped the Chinese National Shooting Team win the gold medal in the men's 50m air rifle three position team competition at the 31st Summer Universiade, and has received the certificate of adoption of scientific and technological achievements from the Shooting and Archery Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China.
