　　 At the approaching of the 40th Teacher's Day, the Ministry of Education released and publicized the list of objects to be commended by advanced collectives and individuals in the national education system in 2024.

　　 After being recommended by each recommendation unit level by level and reviewed and selected by the National Education System Selection and Commendation Leading Group, 591 national advanced collectives, 717 national model teachers, 895 national outstanding teachers, 80 national advanced workers in the education system and 99 national outstanding educators are proposed to be commended. Among them, the Textile College of Donghua University and the Fashion College of Zhejiang University of Science and Technology were shortlisted for the national education system's advanced collectives to be commended; Mei Shunqi of Wuhan Textile University and Zhu Xia of Chengdu Textile College were shortlisted as national model teachers to be commended; Xia Yanzhi of Qingdao University is shortlisted for the list of national outstanding teachers to be commended.

　　 According to the National Education System Selection and Commendation Leading Group Office, this commendation is to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 40th Teacher's Day, vigorously promote the spirit of educators, create a strong atmosphere of respecting teachers and valuing education in the whole society, encourage teachers and educators to be confident, self reliant, and make greater contributions to the great cause of building a strong country and national rejuvenation.
