China Contemporary Fiber Art Exhibition And Sino French Fiber Art Forum Held In Paris

On October 7 local time, the "Conclusion of Huazhang" - China Contemporary Fiber Art Exhibition and Sino French Fiber Art Forum was held at the Chinese Cultural Center in Paris.

More than 100 Chinese and French guests attended the opening ceremony, including Liu Hongge, director of the Chinese Culture Center in Paris, Ma Sai, president of the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, Yang Dongjiang, vice president, Wang Xiaoxin, deputy secretary of the Party Committee, Yue Song, director of the Department of Arts and Crafts, and curator of this academic event.

Liu Hongge said in his speech that fiber art plays a special role in the cultural exchange between China and France. The works of Jean Lurcat, a French painter and famous wall hanging artist, have been exhibited in China, playing an important role in the exploration and development of Chinese fiber art. The introduction of Chinese silk also had an important impact on France. The fiber art works exhibited in this exhibition are not only a visual enjoyment, but also a kind of emotional transmission and thought collision, conveying the unique feelings, rich thinking and infinite creativity that Chinese fiber artists want to express.

Marseille said in his opening speech that China and France have a long history of cultural exchanges in the field of fiber and textile. Since the 1980s, fiber art has gradually developed into an independent modern art form in China. It has absorbed and inherited the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation, and has made remarkable achievements on the international stage. Today, "Chinese style" comes to Paris again, a city full of artistic atmosphere. The opening of this event will undoubtedly add splendor to the cultural exchanges between China and France.

Remy ARON, president of the French Artists Association, said in his speech that he had visited China several times in the past 20 years and found decorative art with a long tradition there. In France, visual art and decorative art are closely linked, and these two art forms can be said to complement each other. It is hoped that in the future, China France friendship will create brilliant achievements in art creation and other fields, and make contributions to the development of human civilization, world harmony and peace.

After the opening ceremony, the Sino French Fiber Art Forum was held. Under the auspices of Yue Song, director of the Arts and Crafts Department of the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, Ni Yuehong, director of the Fiber Art and Design Special Committee of the Chinese Arts and Crafts Society, Pascal Fran ? ois Bertrand, professor of art history of Montaigne University in Bordeaux, Steen Halbro, professor of the National Institute of Decorative Arts of France Zhang Baohua, Deputy Director of the Department of Dyeing, Weaving and Costume Art and Design of the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, delivered speeches around Chinese and French fiber art respectively.
