    The Fifth Meeting Of The First Session Of China Silk Weaving Technology Protection Alliance Was Held In Wuhan

    On November 4-5, the fifth meeting of the first session of China Silk Weaving Technology Protection Alliance was held in Wuhan Textile University. The conference was hosted by the China Silk Weaving Skills Protection Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the Intangible Cultural Heritage Alliance), Wuhan Textile University, China Silk Museum, and undertaken by Hubei Intangible Cultural Heritage Research Center, the Ministry of Education's Excellent Traditional Chinese Culture Inheritance Base (Han embroidery), and Jingchu Textile Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum. More than 50 persons in charge of intangible cultural heritage management departments, representatives of intangible cultural heritage alliance units, experts and scholars attended the meeting.

    On the morning of November 4, Fu Xin, Vice President of Wuhan Textile University, Wang Jianjun, Chairman of Wuhan Folk Literature and Art Association, and Ji Xiaofen, Curator of China Silk Museum and Chairman of Intangible Cultural Heritage Alliance delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. Subsequently, Xu Peng, associate professor of Zhejiang Tourism Vocational College, and Ye Hongguang, professor of Wuhan Textile University and the rotating chairman of the Alliance this year, respectively made academic sharing on the topics of New Interpretation and Future Outlook of Performance Requirements for Listed Projects and Protection and Development of Intangible Textile Cultural Heritage in Hubei Province.

    On the afternoon of April 4, Li Qizheng, president of Silk Magazine of Zhejiang University of Technology, hosted an exchange meeting for members of the intangible cultural heritage alliance. Representatives of more than 10 intangible cultural heritage alliance units, including Suzhou Silk Museum, Chengdu Shu Brocade Embroidery Museum, Nanjing Cloud Brocade Museum, reported on the work of intangible cultural heritage, typical cases and difficulties encountered in the past two years. In addition, Professor Quan Liangpei of Korea Junchang University shared his creative clothing design based on the Korean Paper Project. At last, the participants discussed the work plan of the second session of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Alliance, and voted to join the new member units of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Alliance, Silk Magazine, Hong'an Fujin Embroidery Culture Communication Co., Ltd., and Hong'an Embroidery Culture Professional Cooperative.

    During the meeting, the organizer organized the investigation of intangible cultural heritage in Wuhan. On November 4, the participants visited the Museum of Ethnology of Central South University for Nationalities and the Jingchu Textile Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum of Wuhan Textile University, learned about the rich knowledge of textile intangible cultural heritage, and appreciated the China South Korea fashion fashion show based on the two intangible cultural heritage skills of Chinese embroidery and Korean paper. On November 5, the participants also visited three cultural sites to learn about the ever-changing development of Chinese and foreign textile technology in the Textile Science and Technology Museum on the Sunshine Campus of Wuhan Textile University, visited the inheritors of intangible cultural heritage in the workshops of Han embroidery, traditional plant dye dyeing techniques, bronze chime making techniques and other projects in Hankou Culture and Sports Center, and visited Hubei Provincial Museum to learn about the culture and history of Jingchu.
