"Since this year, China's textile machinery industry has been operating steadily on the whole, with major economic indicators showing a growth trend, and the domestic demand market has driven the industry more than the overseas market. Exports have rebounded month by month, and the overseas market has gradually recovered in the fourth quarter. Exports are expected to remain stable throughout the year, and the global share of textile machinery exports continues to increase. In the global textile machinery market as a whole has not fully recovered, China's textile machinery industry will perform better than other major textile machinery manufacturing countries and regions in 2024. He introduced that the textile machinery industry operated steadily in the first three quarters, and the main economic indicators basically continued the growth trend of the first half of the year, but the growth rate fell back, and the textile machinery export picked up. The export amount in the first 10 months rose slightly compared with the previous month. In the subdivided industry, the sales of knitting machinery and weaving machinery are growing. The sales of printing and dyeing machinery have increased from a decline, while the sales of spinning machinery have rebounded. The sales of chemical fiber machinery products are differentiated significantly, and the sales of nonwoven machinery have gradually recovered and remained stable.

He said that at present, the basic situation of the industry's operation is mainly as follows: First, the industry's revenue and profits have achieved positive growth; Second, the growth rate of industry costs was less than that of revenue, and the proportion of three fees decreased; Third, the industry's asset liability ratio declined slightly; Fourth, the industry accounts receivable and finished goods inventory increased. Among them, the industry operated well from January to October, with double-digit growth in both operating revenue and profit, but the growth rate generally fell. According to the statistics of the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to October, the operating income of textile machinery enterprises above designated size increased by 11.70% year on year, 12.13 percentage points higher than the same period last year. Total profit increased 26.04% year on year. The operating income profit rate was 5.98%, 0.92 percentage points lower than that of the same period last year.

According to the situation of key enterprises and listed enterprises, he said that from January to September, the operating revenue of key enterprises tracked by the Textile Machinery Association increased by 2.87% year on year; Total profit increased by 25.01% year on year. In addition, 14 listed companies in the textile machinery industry completed a total operating revenue of 17.283 billion yuan, up 1.21% year on year, and realized a total profit of 1.692 billion yuan, up 22.32% year on year, less an increase of 11.43% year on year in investment income. Among them, the R&D expenditure of enterprises was 826 million yuan, up 10.60% year on year.

In terms of import and export, according to customs statistics, from January to September, China's textile machinery import and export totaled US $5.087 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 9.42%. Including: textile machinery import of 1.749 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 22.35%; Exports reached US $3.338 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 0.75%. From January to September, China imported textile machinery from 60 countries and regions, mainly Japan, Germany, Italy, France and Switzerland; China exports textile machinery to 198 countries and regions, including India, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Turkey.

He introduced that most enterprises believed that the expectation of orders in the fourth quarter of 2024 was relatively stable. 27.9% of the enterprises expect new orders to increase compared with the third quarter, and 50.0% of the enterprises expect the same; 21.8% of enterprises in overseas markets are expected to grow, and 53.2% of enterprises are expected to remain flat.

"In 2025, the growth of the main operating indicators of China's textile machinery industry may slow down, but the basic foundation for high-quality development of the textile machinery industry is still solid, and the space for industry development is still broad." For future development, he pointed out that, in the domestic market, with the intelligent transformation of China's textile industry, the market demand for high-performance fibers, high-end industrial textiles and other products is growing, Energy conservation, environmental protection, resource recycling, etc. will bring new equipment demand increment. In terms of overseas markets, after two years of decline in global textile machinery trade volume, there is a sign of stabilization in the fourth quarter of this year, and China's textile machinery product export is expected to further improve in 2025.
