Industrial Cluster: Brazil Becomes The World'S Largest Cotton Export Country
The US Department of Agriculture pointed out in a report released this month that China's cotton imports are expected to fall from the record level last year due to strong domestic production and increased inventories.
Walter, senior commodity market strategist of Hiltop Securities Kunisch) said that China's cotton and textile supply chain was "totally different" from that during the 2018 trade war, and China had already purchased more cotton from Brazil and Australia.
The Brazilian National Cotton Exporters Association has previously announced that Brazil's cotton will produce a total of 3.7 million tons of cotton in the 2023/24 harvest season, 60% of which will be exported. Brazil's cotton export volume will surpass the United States for the first time, becoming the world's largest cotton export country. In this harvest season, Brazil exported nearly 1.3 million tons of cotton to China, exceeding the export volume of the United States.
The Brazilian Cotton Producers Association pointed out that Brazilian cotton combines the characteristics of sustainable production mode and high quality, has high competitiveness, and is welcomed by more and more international buyers.
