On December 10, the 2025 symposium on production and operation of textile machinery industry was held in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. Relevant leaders of China Textile Industry Federation, China Textile Machinery Association, industry experts and scholars, and more than 100 representatives of textile machinery enterprises from all over the country gathered together to analyze and exchange information about the macro environment, industry operation and future market expectations, and explore new opportunities for industry development. The meeting was presided over by Gu Ping, President of China Textile Machinery Association.

Look at the general trend and find the way forward
"The first three quarters of the textile machinery industry generally operated smoothly. The main economic indicators of industry production, export, efficiency, investment and so on basically continued the growth trend of the first half of the year, but the growth rate fell back, and exports rebounded." Liu Song, vice president of China Textile Machinery Association, said when analyzing the industry operation. In the subdivided industry, the sales of knitting machinery and weaving machinery are growing. The sales of printing and dyeing machinery have increased from a decline, while the sales of spinning machinery have declined. The sales of chemical fiber machinery products are differentiated significantly, and the sales of nonwoven machinery have gradually recovered and remained stable.
According to customs statistics, from January to October 2023, China's textile machinery imports and exports totaled US $5.697 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 8.58%. Including: textile machinery import of 1.95 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 22.37%; Exports reached US $3.746 billion, up 0.74% year on year.
Since this year, the global demand for textile machinery and equipment is still in a weak adjustment, and the overall situation has not improved. The textile machinery exports of major textile machinery producing countries have shown a downward trend. As the largest textile machinery export country, China's textile machinery export performance is the most stable. India, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Turkey are the top five countries in China's export, of which Vietnam, Bangladesh and Pakistan are showing positive growth, while exports to Turkey are showing a significant decline. From the perspective of export category, the decline of spinning chemical fiber machinery is more obvious, and the export of knitting machinery and printing and dyeing finishing machinery has achieved a large growth.
According to the survey of key enterprises of China Textile Machinery Association, 19.2% of enterprises think the situation is optimistic, 50.7% think the situation is average, and 29.5% think the situation is not optimistic.
Turning to industry expectations, Liu Song said that the restructuring of the global textile and clothing industry chain will continue, the domestic market demand will continue to face pressure, and the rising uncertainty of the trade environment and other challenges still need to be resolved. From the observation of historical data, although the growth of major operating indicators of China's textile machinery industry may slow down in 2025, the basic foundation for high-quality development of the textile machinery industry is still solid, and the space for industry development is still broad. In terms of the domestic market, China's textile industry is undergoing intelligent transformation. The market demand for high-performance fibers, high-end industrial textiles and other products is growing. Environmental protection, energy conservation and resource recycling will bring new demand for equipment. In terms of overseas markets, after two years of decline in the global textile machinery trade volume, there is a sign of stabilization in the fourth quarter of this year, and China's textile machinery product exports are expected to further improve in 2025.
Zhao Xiaogang, Vice President of China Textile Machinery Association, summarized the general situation of 2024 International Textile Machinery Exhibition at the meeting, and introduced the preparation and organization of 2025 Overseas Exhibition and 2026 International Textile Machinery Exhibition.
It is reported that the exhibition area of 2024 International Textile Machinery Exhibition has exceeded 160000 square meters, more than 1700 exhibitors have participated in the exhibition, and the number of visitors from more than 100 countries and regions around the world has exceeded 90000 person times. According to the process of this exhibition, the number of participating textile equipment enterprises is the largest, accounting for 20% of the total number of exhibitors, followed by dyeing and finishing equipment enterprises, accounting for 17.3%, and weaving equipment enterprises accounting for 15.6%, ranking third. According to the exhibition area, the exhibition area of dyeing and finishing equipment enterprises ranked first, accounting for 22% of the total exhibition area, followed by spinning equipment, accounting for 20%, and knitting equipment, ranking third, accounting for 15.7%.
According to the survey of this exhibition, the satisfaction of visitors to the exhibition, including the scope and integrity of exhibits, the industry representation of exhibitors, the participation of well-known enterprises in the industry, and the innovation of exhibits, exceeded 98%. In terms of the satisfaction of visitors with the purpose of visiting, including understanding the overall market trend and technological innovation, understanding the price and industry information, customer relationship maintenance, and the actual purchase investment, the satisfaction is more than 95%. The audience's willingness to visit the next International Textile Machinery Exhibition reached the highest level in all previous exhibitions, and 71% of the audience said they would definitely visit the exhibition again. The new International Textile Machinery Exhibition will be held on November 20-24, 2026.
According to the overseas exhibitions in 2025, it is reported that Bangladesh Textile Machinery Exhibition (DTG 19th) will be held in February 2025, Indonesia Textile Machinery Exhibition (INDO INTERTEX 21st) will be held in April, Thailand Textile Machinery Exhibition (GFT 25th) will be held in July, and Vietnam Textile Machinery Exhibition (VTG 23rd) will be held in October. The International Textile Machinery Exhibition (Singapore), which is widely concerned by everyone, will be held from October 28 to 31, 2025. It is reported that the exhibition area will reach 60000 square meters, there will be more than 600 exhibitors, and it is expected that the number of visitors will reach 30000.
Sun Jialiang, a professor of Zhejiang University, mentioned in his analysis of the macroeconomic operating environment that the Central Economic Work Conference in 2023 summarized the economic problems as follows: insufficient effective demand, weak social expectations, more risks and hidden dangers still exist, there are gambling points in the domestic big cycle, and the complexity, severity and uncertainty of the external environment are rising. In the face of a complex environment, the key to our solution lies in reform. We should reform the relationship between the government and the market, between the government and enterprises, between the government and the people, and between China and the developed countries in the world. Referring to the development in 2025, Sun Jialiang suggested that enterprises should reduce the impulse of expansion and strengthen internal management; Reduce the focus on industries related to reinforcement and cement, and increase the focus on industries related to population, especially the accelerated aging process; Enterprises should give up scale expansion, improve product added value, and create differentiated value through technological innovation and brand; Create demand with new product supply.
Xu Yingxin, Vice President of China Textile Industry Federation, briefly analyzed the macroeconomic situation and the industry development environment. He said that although the current development of the industry still faces many uncertainties, China's economy is generally stable and good, and the meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee has also released a positive signal, industry enterprises should carefully study and find directions. He said that although the development of the textile industry was not as expected, compared with other industries, the textile industry, based on years of good foundation, still achieved positive growth in many indicators, showing the industry's development resilience, and industry enterprises have confidence in the future.
For the development of the textile machinery industry, he talked about three feelings: first, in terms of product technology innovation, the pace of iterative upgrading of Chinese textile machinery enterprises continues to accelerate. It can be seen from the 2024 International Textile Machinery Exhibition that many new first products have been launched, and innovative ideas have been deeply rooted in enterprises in the textile machinery industry and well put into action. Secondly, the operation mode of textile machinery enterprises is also changing. Textile machinery enterprises are not only making efforts to improve their own product technology, but also promoting collaborative innovation and cooperative development by linking upstream and downstream, which is also advocated by the industry. He hoped that industry enterprises could innovate models according to their own characteristics. Moreover, with the improvement of the level and quality of domestic textile machinery, exports have shown a good state of development. Many textile machinery enterprises account for 20% or more of their exports. At present, the key areas of China's textile machinery export are in the "Belt and Road" countries and regions. It is a good opportunity for industry enterprises to closely follow the national initiatives. He hoped that enterprises in the industry could develop overseas markets with high quality while deeply exploring the domestic market. He believed that China's textile machinery export would show a better growth state in the future.

Focusing on the development status of the textile machinery industry and the enterprise's market perception and coping strategies, the various industry departments of the China Textile Machinery Association analyzed the market situation of spinning, weaving, knitting, chemical fiber and nonwoven machinery in the forum exchange link of the business meeting. Representatives at the meeting exchanged information on the business situation and expectations of the enterprise this year and next, as well as the thinking of the enterprise's market operation in 2025 and suggestions on domestic and foreign market activities.
Ye Wen, Chairman of Hang Textile Machinery: ??
At present, the general operation philosophy of the enterprise is to identify the direction, crawl forward and develop healthily. The company is involved in the park and textile machinery equipment business. This year, the sales of enterprises' silk reeling production lines doubled compared with last year, but the business in the park declined for the first time except for 2020, which was affected by the epidemic. At present, enterprises feel that the market situation is not good. The past five years have also been the most difficult period for SMEs. In 2025, industry enterprises should be more cautious. They should not only cover their pockets, but also learn to take precautions. They should not only make development plans, but also take risk prevention measures.
Liu Ming, General Manager of Picanol (Suzhou):
From the perspective of the "troika" of macroeconomic trends, this year's investment, export and consumption are only slightly better than exports. The future is unpredictable, and it is important for enterprises to preserve their strength. From the perspective of clients, some customers in the United States are promoting overseas factory building. In addition, some customers are also becoming very cautious in equipment procurement. Therefore, we should improve our risk awareness, pay attention to the investment strength and the stability of business. It is expected that the market may be worse next year or even the year after, but we have experienced a round of industrial transfer. At present, we are going through the second round. No matter where the industry is transferred, as long as we do a good job in products, there are still opportunities. Enterprises should maintain a positive attitude and do a good job in defense, so that they can overcome difficulties and enter a new development pattern. In the new year, the Suzhou factory of Picanol will expand its production capacity. For Picanol, China is still the largest market. Some customer enterprises have had cooperation for two generations. In the future, Picanol will strive to achieve more win-win cooperation with customers.
Wang Jun, President of Oerlikon (China):
The overall feeling this year is mixed. It's not easy for the company to achieve its sales target even though the macro environment is not very good after the efforts of all staff. Worry is the worry about the future, because it is full of uncertainty. We pay attention to current events, but what we can do is to be ourselves, which is also the way for enterprises to deal with everything. Therefore, enterprises actively increase investment in technology. At present, the R&D center of Oerlikon has moved to Suzhou, where the layout of new product technology is under way, and the close connection with customers has been better realized. In order to realize the sustainable and healthy development of the enterprise, the enterprise is carrying out internal potential tapping and will explore a better development model with partners in the next two years.
Zhou Zhihong, Marketing Director of Tianmen Textile Machinery:
Tianmen Textile Machinery has been focusing on drawing frame for many years, and 2024 market is a great challenge. This year, we did three aspects of work, one is product research and development. During the 2024 International Textile Machinery Exhibition, we launched a series of new products, some of which have been trial produced in customers. At present, the Innovation Center has done intelligent manufacturing projects for many enterprises, including Hongyuan Technology and Jingwei Textile Machinery. In the future, it will continue to expand the cooperation between the platform and enterprises, so that textile machinery enterprises can achieve their own manufacturing upgrading and enhance their competitiveness.
Ruan Dezhi, General Manager of Tongling Songbao:
This year's business growth has been achieved, but it is uncertain whether such growth can be maintained next year. At present, enterprises focus on spinning related products, including automatic doffing, automatic winding, and texturing machine related products. The enterprise has been struggling with the problem of scale in recent years. From the initial production of accessories to the production of equipment in 2019, the volume has been growing. Enterprises are also rethinking that the continuous growth they have experienced along the way is actually more an industrial dividend. When the environment is bad, they see their own shortcomings. Yang Chongming, Chairman of Chongqing Golden Cat:
The steel wire ring made by Golden Cat is a small product, but it has high requirements. This is also the reason why there were many similar enterprises in the past, but there are few now. Until now, Golden Cat has always been able to follow the spinning technology and continue to innovate. This year, Golden Cat launched a 26 million yuan transformation project, and benefited from the help of the Association to enjoy the favorable policies of the country. By the end of the year, the goal of the enterprise should be achieved, but we don't want the numbers to look good, we should be realistic and able to live. There may be a lot of uncertainties in the future, but Golden Cat is not afraid. What we need to do is to do a good job in products, roll technology and quality with foreign first-class enterprises, refuse to roll down, and compete for price and cost. In the future, Golden Cat will still adhere to the strategy of attacking the high-end and top importing. It is believed that there is still a large market space.
Chen Zhihong, Chairman of Hongyuan Technology:
In 2024, the business performance of Hongyuan Science and Technology will increase, basically fulfilling the goals set by the enterprise. This is mainly due to two reasons. One is the low data of last year, and the other is the good growth of texturing machine market this year. In 2025, enterprises will continue to invest in R&D, hoping to roll up and roll out together with industry friends.
