The high-end textile industry is the traditional competitive industry of Zhangjiagang. At present, the city has gathered more than 3100 textile enterprises, including more than 380 enterprises above the designated size. The annual revenue of the wool textile industry is more than one sixth of that of the country. Now it is accelerating the formation of a modern industrial system integrating research and development, design, production and sales.

"We will implement the 'three products' strategy of increasing varieties, improving quality and creating brands by means of equipment renewal and industrial upgrading, and taking safety and environmental protection as the bottom line." Wang Xi, director of Zhangjiagang Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, said Zhangjiagang will promote technological transformation through "intelligent transformation into digital networking", support enterprises to create intelligent factories, and invest 10 billion yuan in technological transformation within three years, One enterprise with a revenue of more than 10 billion yuan, five enterprises with a revenue of more than 3 billion yuan, and six small and medium-sized enterprises with "expertise, specialty, and novelty" were newly added.

In terms of promoting high-end textile projects, Zhangjiagang will strengthen the coordination of land, financing and approval resources to ensure that the project is put into production early and effective. For textile enterprises under the designated size, 100 potential enterprises were promoted to "upgrade to the designated size and integrate into the unified scale" through precise cultivation, with an added output value of 5 billion yuan. The highly concerned printing and dyeing industry will develop intensively according to the layout of "four districts and six points", and invest 3 billion yuan in three years to complete the relocation and transformation of enterprises.

In addition, Zhangjiagang City plans to build two or three public platforms within three years to promote the cooperation between schools and enterprises in the development of new environment-friendly fashion products and seize opportunities in emerging markets such as outdoor sports and ice and snow economy; The synchronously implemented brand strategy will focus on cultivating 15 "Jiangsu Boutique" and "Made in Suzhou" certified products, driving the output value to increase by 3 billion yuan. It is worth noting that live broadcast e-commerce and cross-border e-commerce are included in the plan. By 2027, the city will cultivate one or two hundred million yuan level live broadcast enterprises, and textile enterprises will achieve online sales of 5 billion yuan.
