Thousands Of University Students In Heilongjiang Return Home To Start Their Own Business

In order to train high-quality talents needed for building a new socialist countryside, Heilongjiang province started implementing the "village college students training plan" in 2004.

Some universities recruit about 2500 students from rural youth every year, and plan to cultivate a large number of agricultural technology talents who know technology, operate, root in rural areas and serve the three rural areas in 5 years in 9062 administrative villages of the province.

The reporter learned from the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of education that the implementation of the "village college student training program" has taken into account the actual needs of the rural areas and the actual economic and cultural level of the whole province.

The target of enrollment is located in the senior high school graduates at the village level; in the province of Heilongjiang, the junior college level is recognized; the graduates are practicing "village to village"; after graduation, they have to return to the village for more than 5 years of production, life and entrepreneurship. Considering the practical difficulties of farmers, the tuition free policy is implemented, which is 2/3 of the provincial financial burden and 1/3 of the school burden.

Xin Baozhong, deputy director of the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of education, said: "the training program for village students" is undertaken by 15 agricultural and normal universities and higher vocational schools, including Northeast Agricultural University, Heilongjiang Bayi Agricultural University, etc., with 2 years of schooling (3 years in medicine).

In terms of specialty setting, it mainly sets up specialties in agronomy, animal husbandry, veterinary, aquaculture, agricultural and livestock products processing, general practitioner, general practice and so on, which are urgently needed in rural economic construction and development.

At the same time, the organization should compile special teaching materials, focusing on popularity, comprehensiveness and desalination system, which is suitable for the characteristics of farmers.

According to the education department's follow-up survey of the "village college students training plan", by the end of May this year, a total of 6015 college students completed their studies and returned to the countryside.

Among them, 509 went to the village committee, accounting for 8.4% of the total; 2371 returned to the village to start their own businesses, becoming the riches leaders, accounting for 39.4% of the total; 1191 of them returned to their hometown to raise the level of cultivation and cultivation, accounting for 19.8% of the total number; another part of the graduates went back to the village to engage in medical and health education, which effectively enriched the rural medical and health strength and basic education teachers.
