Henan'S Export Garment Industry Is Grim.

In 1~6 months of this year, Henan exported 1092 garments, 12 million 900 thousand pieces, and 44 million 700 thousand dollars, compared with the same period last year. The batches, quantity and amount decreased by 2.24%, 15.24% and 12.28% respectively for the first time.

The export garment industry in Henan is in a grim situation.

Clothing is a traditional bulk export commodity in Henan province. However, since 2007, influenced by many factors such as adjustment of national industrial policy, appreciation of RMB, increase of labor cost, high price of raw materials, and increase of foreign technical barriers to trade, the export garment enterprises which had already made light profits become more and more difficult. The situation of Henan's export garment industry is becoming more and more serious.

The average price of export garments is less than 3.5 US dollars.

It is understood that most of the export garment enterprises in Henan province are about 200 small enterprises, and the machinery and equipment are relatively old and backward.

In recent years, due to the slow development of garment processing industry, the mobility of workers and the shortage of workers have become a common problem faced by export garment enterprises, which directly affects the production and management of enterprises, resulting in instability of product quality.

In addition, the added value of products is low.

The main export products of Henan are all kinds of trousers, work clothes, Casual Shirts, shirts, Western-style clothes and so on. The products are mainly exported to South America, the Middle East, and Africa. The products are single and belong to the medium and low grade products. The products exported to the developed countries of Europe, America and Japan account for about 1 / 3 of the total export volume.

The average export price of exported garments in Henan is less than 3.5 US dollars, all of which are processed by OEM, and the added value of products is relatively low.

Enterprises should actively respond to foreign technical barriers to trade. In recent years, technical barriers to trade in China's textile and garment industry have been increasing in developed countries such as Europe and the United States, and the requirements for safety, health, environmental protection and anti fraud in clothing products have become increasingly stringent.

All export garment trading companies and production enterprises in Henan should check from the source of surface accessories, so that all the technical indicators of the products meet the standards of the importing countries, and they should take the initiative to collect relevant laws, regulations and technical standards of foreign countries, especially those of developed countries in Europe and America, and take corresponding measures to deal with them.
