Yade'S Fine Brown Dress Has A Thousand Years Of Skill, Which Is New

In Renbu County, Xigaze City, Tibet, on the snow covered plateau, Yade fine brown textile handicraft, a national handicraft with a history of 1000 years, has been passed down from generation to generation from the Zambeu period (as early as the Tang Dynasty). Yade fine brown raw material selects plateau sheep wool with an altitude of more than 4300 meters. Through manual impurity removal, rinsing, elastic selection, rolling, weaving, and soaking with plant dyes, the cloth is soft, comfortable, breathable, warm, and colorfast. It is said that after entering Tibet, Princess Wencheng lamented her exquisite textile technology, excellent material selection and exquisite production, and named her "Yade Fine Brown Cloth". In the heyday of the Kagyu Sect, the people used the cassocks they made to present to the eminent monk Dade, who was very popular and called them "Yade Fine Brown Clothes". So far, Yade fine brown cloth and clothing have become the top grade cloth and clothing that are famous throughout the region, and are treasured by high-class dignitaries, businessmen and celebrities.

In order to let this national handicraft spread for thousands of years be inherited and carried forward, in 2013, Kangxiong Township, Renbu County organized the poor people to establish the Yade Fine Brown Wool Fabric Farmers' Professional Cooperative in Kangxiong Township, Renbu County on the principles of voluntariness, equality and mutual benefit, with Nan Muzhen, the inheritor of the intangible heritage of Yade Fine Brown Weaving Technology, as the chairman.

Nan Muzhen is a famous local knitting expert. Under the influence of her mother, she has a strong interest in knitting since childhood, and has systematically learned the fine brown knitting technology for 13 years. After the establishment of the specialized cooperative, Nan Muzhen held a technical training class, imparting technology selflessly to the sisters around her, and driving the masses of surrounding villages and towns to participate together. In 2023 alone, more than 200 women will be provided with jobs that do not leave their hometown or land.

In recent years, cooperatives have seized the opportunity of national poverty alleviation policies to expand production and operation scale and achieve healthy and sustainable development. While inheriting the traditional technology, it also draws on the strengths of a hundred schools, combines modern technology and market demand, and gives Yade fine brown cloth new life. For example, in terms of color, Yade fine brown cloth used to be mostly dark brown and red, but now it has launched a variety of plant dyeing products to meet the needs of young people and further expand the market.
