Hungary'S Clothing Consumption Has Declined For The First Time In Recent Years.
According to Hungary Market Research Institute, in 2007 Hungary clothing consumption accounted for the first decline in household expenditure in recent years, down 3.7% compared to 2006.
In 2007, the average clothing consumption per household was 104 thousand Folin (about 611 US dollars).
Footwear consumption accounted for an increase in clothing consumption, rising from 24.2% in 2006 to 25.4% in 2007, while clothing consumption decreased, but still accounted for more than 50% of clothing consumption. Since 2005, the consumption of sportswear has continued to decline.
Consumers choose to buy clothes in large shopping malls, and then buy them in Asian mall or street stalls.
