    Chinese Designer For The First Time Entered The Wool LOGO FASHION Grand Prix Final

    As an important step for the world's wool industry to explore international fashion talents worldwide, Australian Wool Innovation Limited Welsh CEO Craig Welsh recently announced the launch of the 2008 "Australia Merino wool logo Award" costume design competition.

    Through the rigorous selection of the international expert jury, Chinese designers first entered the finals, and their works will compete with other six nations in July.



    Since the birth of the wool logo award, the award has been regarded as an important symbol and measure to support the emerging top talent in achieving a solid position in the global garment industry.

    In 1954, two fledgling women's designers Karl Lagerfeld and Yves Saint Laurent went on stage to receive the fashion design award awarded by the international wool Bureau.

    Lagerfeld, 21, is the winner of the coat group, while the Saint Laurent, who is only 19, won the evening dress design award.


    Like the two fashion giants today, through the wool logo award, the two Chinese designers Shao Jia and Qiu Hao, who are shortlisted, will also have the chance to make their mark in the international fashion industry.

    Prior to this, Shao Jiaceng worked in the Holborow Emma Jane Jermyn knitting design studio and was involved in providing samples of knitting designs for Prada and Ferre2008/2009 autumn and winter.

    Qiu Hao worked in the famous British designer Alexander McQueen studio.

    Not long ago, Qiu Hao was invited to show the QiuHao clothing series in Stockholm. As the only Chinese designer, he was invited to Singapore for fashion distribution and received numerous international media interviews.


    It is reported that the "Australian Merino wool logo Award" is sponsored by Australian Wool Innovation Limited, which is specially designed to award the outstanding fashion of merino wool or wool blended fashion.

    The fashion expert jury will evaluate the contestants, determine the ownership of the awards, and award the awards at the Palais de Tokyo event in Paris in July 3, 2008.
