Reporter: what are the difficulties that Korean clothing enterprises have encountered in the development of China's market?
Huang Xiangyun: Korean clothing enterprises rely mainly on Chinese local agents to achieve sales in the Chinese market, but the problem is how to find honest and suitable agents.
In addition, South Korean clothing enterprises set up branches in China are also facing the bottleneck of talent, it is very difficult to find outstanding talents who understand Chinese and Korean culture and are proficient in the garment industry.
Reporter: now the cost of labor and raw materials in China is getting higher and higher. What adjustments will the Korean garment enterprises make in China's market?
Huang Xiangyun: due to the rising cost of labor and raw materials in China, some Korean clothing enterprises began to shift OEM orders to Vietnam, India and other countries around China.
Before the cooperation between Chinese and Korean garment enterprises is mostly done by trading companies. In order to save costs, Korean garment enterprises are now considering leaving intermediary and directly looking for partners in China.
However, due to the lack of experience of Korean clothing enterprises in the Chinese market, there are many difficulties in this direct cooperation mode, including whether the two sides can trust each other.
Reporter: Korean fashion design and popular culture have been very successful. In recent years, the Korean clothing market in China has become popular. Why can Korean clothing enterprises do this?
Huang Xiangyun: Korean clothing design is at the forefront of Asia and even the whole world. I am very proud of the success of Korean fashion designers.
South Korea has four distinct seasons. Koreans are very sensitive to dressing. They like changing fashions, so Korean clothing companies must adapt.
China's clothing is not exquisite enough, and its color matching needs improvement.
In fact, the rise of Korean clothing design is more than ten years. In 1990s, Korean clothing enterprises increased their cooperation with European garment enterprises. Meanwhile, Japanese enterprises also provided good consulting clothing in the management of enterprises. Under this background, Korean fashion design had a good integration of the popular elements of Europe and America with the oriental culture, and achieved unprecedented success in the Korean market.
Reporter: Chinese clothing enterprises have strong strength in marketing, brand and capital. How do you think Chinese enterprises can improve their overall competitive strength with the advantage of Korean clothing design?
Huang Xiangyun: the completion of Chinese enterprises can integrate the advantages of Korean clothing enterprises in design and research and development to enhance their overall competitiveness through mergers and acquisitions.
Recently, the Korean apparel industry has frequent mergers and acquisitions. Chinese enterprises can consider setting up a R & D base in Korea to improve their competitiveness in the Chinese market by capturing the Korean fashion.
