The requirements of acid, alkali, formaldehyde, insecticide, herbicide, heavy metal and harmful dye content are tested by the product and the different chemical and dye contents are specified according to the product category.

Experts from the inspection and quarantine department believe that on export garments, there are all kinds of labels: price tag, brand label, size label, ingredient label, nursing label and environmental label.

Environmental labels have gained worldwide recognition for their unique properties and functions.

Obtaining environmental labeling certification may be a new way to break out of textile and clothing export.

The people of Zhongshan inspection and Quarantine Bureau reminded that the "Eck tetex" and "100" are recognized as the authoritative ecological textile standards in the global textile industry at present. Many large buyers in Europe and America have adopted the technology of "Eck tetex standard" as the technical basis for product procurement.

All producers and distributors who are related to textile production and sales can apply for product certification.

It includes fibers, yarns, grey fabrics, accessories, garments, and dyeing and finishing products and other textile related producers and distributors.

Certification applications need to be presented to the member bodies of the international environmental textile association.

The application procedures for the implementation of the E - Ke teex standard are simple, and the application companies will be successfully completed under the guidance of the certification bodies.

For garment manufacturers, the ideal way to apply for certification is to establish an environmental friendly textile supply chain from cloth to thread, buttons, zippers and other main accessories.

This will not only greatly reduce the cost of application for garment manufacturers, but also make garment producers bear responsibility for the quality control of the certified clothing products separately from their suppliers.
