254 Online Monitoring Of Pollution Sources

In April this year, the municipal government promulgated the "Shenzhen action plan for ecological civilization construction (2008-2010)" and 9 supporting documents, one of which is "action plan for promoting energy conservation and emission reduction".

In addition, the municipal government issued the "work plan for pollution reduction in Shenzhen" during the "11th Five-Year" period. It clarified the task requirements of the "11th Five-Year" period, including the reduction of emission control, structural adjustment and emission reduction, supervision and management, emission reduction and the three systems.

In June this year, the city leaders also signed the "Shenzhen pollution reduction responsibility document of 2008" in charge of the 15 responsible units in our city.

At present, there are 254 pollution sources installed on-line monitoring equipment and networking with environmental protection departments, including 234 pollution sources and 20 pollution sources.

The construction of online monitoring facilities has provided an important technical means for real-time control of pollution sources and accurately checking pollutant emissions.

In addition, our city has also strengthened the basic work of pollution reduction, further improved the list of pollution reduction projects, closed down the list of enterprises, and controlled the national control of key pollution sources, and formed a dynamic pollution reduction account. A joint conference system for emission reduction statistics has been established, and a statistical account of emission reduction related to various departments has been initially established. A professional company has been commissioned to develop a management information system for pollution abatement and improve the information level of pollution reduction statistics.

First of all, we should speed up the construction of sewage treatment facilities and matching pipe network. In the first half of this year, we will start construction, renovation and Expansion Works of 6 sewage treatment plants such as Buji and Guangming. By the end of this year, we will start building 13 sewage treatment plants. Secondly, we will focus on ensuring the normal and stable operation of the flue gas desulfurization project in MABAN power plant. After the desulfurization of the coal-fired power plant was completed last year, all the units were installed on-line monitoring system and connected with the environmental protection department to ensure the desulfurization effect. Thirdly, the operation and management of the constructed wetland and rapid infiltration system were strengthened, the on-line monitoring equipment was installed, the daily operation records were standardized, the potential of the decentralized sewage treatment facilities was fully exploited, and the emission reduction benefits of the decentralized sewage treatment facilities were brought into full play.

At present, our city has eliminated the heavily polluted leather manufacturing industry and the cement industry, and the printing and dyeing industry has gradually faded out.
