Garment Enterprises Export By Certificate Of Origin

The cost of manufacturing industry is soaring, and the foreign trade enterprises are breaking through the way. In the past, the certificate of origin of the Asia Pacific Trade Agreement, which most people are very familiar with, has become the "upstart" of garment processing enterprises' export, and has promoted the substantial increase in the volume of garment export trade.

In the sewing workshop of Qili Garments Co. Ltd., although the weather is very hot, the workers are working overtime to make a batch of orders for exporting to Korea.

This batch of clothes to be rushed up is a large order from Korea Garments Co., Ltd., which has 15000 down coats and $450 thousand worth of goods.

It is the first time for a company to get such a large order at once.

Qili Garment Co., Ltd., a reporter, told reporters that if there is no certificate of origin, it is possible that customers will place these orders in other factories or elsewhere. With this certificate of origin, our factory is also one of the biggest beneficiaries. The second advantage is that if these goods are exported to Korea, they will enjoy five percent to six percent profit from export tariff relief.

The certificate of origin stated in the enterprise is the certificate of origin of the Asia Pacific Trade Agreement. It is a document proving the place of production or manufacture of goods. In international trade, it is usually used by importing countries as an important basis for the actual difference between tariff treatment and the implementation of national trade policy management.

Since the beginning of this year, there are still many enterprises that have achieved substantial growth in trade volume with the certificate of origin in Laizhou, like the Qili Garments Co., Ltd., according to the inspection and Quarantine Bureau, only 111 export lots of Korean clothing were exported from 1 to July. The value of goods was 822674 dollars, up 404.55% and 234.20% respectively over the same period.

Sun Jianbo, textile machinery and Electronics Department of Laizhou inspection and Quarantine Bureau, said that the Asia Pacific agreement is a regional preferential tariff policy. The export of Laizhou's products to Korea, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh can enjoy preferential tariff relief. This will enhance the competitiveness of the products of Laizhou's export enterprises and help enterprises expand their exports.

At present, seven enterprises in Laizhou have enjoyed the regional tariff policy.
