Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county relies on the strategy of "promoting silkworm technology with science and technology". Although it is affected by the freezing rain and snow disaster at the beginning of the year, sericulture has maintained a healthy and steady development momentum.

In order to enable silkworm farmers to expand their yields, improve their quality and increase their benefits, the county has made full use of activities such as the construction of small silkworm talents, training of millions of peasant members, training of silkworms and training of agricultural schools and so on, organizing agricultural technicians to go deep into farms and fields, and popularizing the fine silkworm improved laws. The breeding rate of the "Guangxi silkworm" series of fine varieties is now maintained at over 67.5%, and the rate of planting the "good variety" is over 79.6%, and that of the small silkworm breeding room is 366, the total fertility rate is over 72%, and the rate of popularization is nearly 100%.

This year, the quality of cocoon silk in this county ranks the highest in the whole area: Cocoon Silk 85% is above 4A grade, and 15% is above 5A+ grade.
