From January 1st next year, the import and export commodities list of the inspection and Quarantine will be adjusted to more than 200 export enterprises in Quanzhou. The export volume will account for 10% of the total export volume of the city.

The export enterprises in Quanzhou must pay attention to the fact that 354 new commodities will be inspected and exported by the inspection and quarantine authorities next year. This is what the reporters learned yesterday from Quanzhou entry exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau.

According to the briefing, the AQSIQ has recently issued a notice to adjust the import and export commodity catalogue of the entry exit inspection and Quarantine (hereinafter referred to as the law catalogue) from January 1st next year. The commodities in the new law catalogue are: chemical products, daily necessities, infants and children's clothing, underwear, shirts, pajamas, swimsuits, household appliances and sanitary appliances that can be used for food additives, etc., shall be pferred to the catalogue of legal inspection or supplementary customs supervision conditions, involving 10 current HS coding 354.

The adjustment involves major export commodities such as infant clothing and underwear in Quanzhou. It is estimated that there are more than 200 export enterprises, with an annual export volume of more than 500 million dollars, accounting for 10% of Quanzhou's total exports in 2007.

In addition, according to the notice, since January 1, 2009, some catalogues of primary textiles, mineral products, stone materials, industrial raw materials, leather products, hardware tools, small household electrical appliances, and some stone materials have been pferred to the "law inspection catalogue", involving 10 current HS coding 640.

At present, the Quanzhou inspection and Quarantine Bureau has done a good job of preparing new inspection goods according to the provisions of the catalogue of law inspection and related requirements, but the scope of the adjustment of the catalogue is large, and many enterprises have never done the inspection and quarantine inspection before.
