Shantou is already one of the most concentrated production bases in sweaters and underwear industry in the country.

These famous brands with national and provincial brand names are the pride of Shantou's textile and garment industry.
With the end of the "Three - to - one - Supplement" era, it has become the consensus of Shantou textile and clothing industry to build its own brand and take the road of famous brand.
According to the relevant data, the number of brands gained in textile and garment industry ranks first among all industries. Up to now, Shantou textile and garment industry has obtained "Kaiser" and "Li Li Fang", which are famous brand products in China and well-known trademarks in China. "New Department", "Kaiser" and "Kaiser" have also obtained national inspection free products, and there are 54 famous brands and famous brands in Guangdong Province.

The doorway of the market has become a pain in the heart of manufacturers. The owners of many garment factories in Shantou, when they talk about sales, always hate the smell of steel: "with such a good industrial foundation, Shantou can not even have a decent large market."
It is understood that many local brands of middle and high grade routes have pferred the sales center to Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Dongguan as early as 2000.
Wang boss, who has been engaged in the garment industry for more than 20 years, started from the Haian market, the standard "pre store and post factory" business mode. With the expansion of production scale, Wang boss built a four storey factory building in Chenghai, but with the gradual shrinking of Shantou's clothing market, they had to withdraw from the Haian market and go to Guangzhou's "white horse" clothing city.
In the telephone interview, Wang boss said helplessly: "in fact, we really want to move back to Shantou. The cost of land rent, labor and so on in Guangzhou is very high. The cost of the whole sale is very high. The cost of returning to Shantou can be greatly reduced. However, there is not a market in the country that is noisy in Shantou, and there are so few foreign merchants that we dare not go back."
Hongyu Jing, chairman of Shantou Yuhong craft garment factory, told reporters that Shantou had no scale market, and the cost of field sales was too high. So they chose to shop online. This is also a forced choice. If Shantou can have a large mid-range clothing wholesale market, they will not hesitate to choose to enter.
In the initial stage of reform and opening up, the Shantou Special Administrative Region (SAR) has created the production and marketing mode of "pre store and post factory" as well as other SAR cities, and has created brilliant economic achievements.
Now the "post factory" has grown and expanded, while the "front shop" has been shrinking.
Is the clothing industry neglected in the local market, or is the local market not keeping up with the development of the garment industry?
Obviously, the answer is the latter.
The relevant people pointed out that the market should rely on the tremendous strength of the local textile and garment industry to become bigger and stronger, and the clothing industry in Shantou can also be stronger and bigger in the radiation market.
