Does Vietnam Shake Its Position In The US Textile And Clothing Industry?

Will Vietnam become the new major clothing and textile product supply base of the United States in 2009? Can it shake China's position in the US textile and clothing industry? According to the survey at the end of 2008, Vietnam exported about 5.3 billion dollars worth of clothing and textile products to the United States this year, an increase of 26% over the same period in 2007.

However, there is no consensus on whether Vietnam should be a new supply base. In order to ensure the stability of its own supply of goods, the United States must set up production management organizations in the enterprises of the producing countries in order to control the supply of raw materials. The United States must also provide professional training for its suppliers in Vietnam. At the same time, they should always monitor the operation of the enterprise, because the enterprise has problems of one kind or another at any time. If the investment of the United States in Vietnam's textile and clothing enterprises is rewarded and the product quality is guaranteed, then the investment of the United States is valuable.
