Xinjiang'S "Flower Picking" Life Will Be Made Into A TV Play.

Cotton is an important agricultural economic crop in Xinjiang. Every autumn, the army of picking flowers from the mainland is pouring into Xinjiang for gold rush.

A TV drama "picking up flowers and girls" reflecting the life of a flower collector is being filmed in Awati, a major cotton producing county in Xinjiang. This is the first drama in our country to enter the Xinjiang cotton picking army.

In early October, the Awati County of Xinjiang was somewhat chill. Su Lei, director of the Xinjiang Tianshan film studio, wore a thick military coat and stared at the camera. She waved her script and commanded the staff in the cotton field to be busy.

This TV series tells about the collection of flower girls from the rural areas of Hebei, who live in a village called Prague in southern Xinjiang, and have formed a deep friendship with the local minority people in the process of picking up cotton.

Su Lei said: "when I read the script, I liked the TV drama on the local theme, and the script was very popular and worth shooting."

In order to celebrate the 60th anniversary founding of new China, the Propaganda Department of the the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Party committee plans to launch the sister articles of the TV drama, which reflects the TV play of "walking in" and "going out" strategy in the economic and social construction of Xinjiang respectively.

According to the introduction, the TV drama "picking flowers and girls" is selected for location in Hebei Jingxing county and Xinjiang Akesu City, Awati county and Wensu county.

The audience is expected to meet in January 2009.
