Carrefour Adjusts The Purchase Of Asian Garments At 60%
According to the French Le Figaro, January 7th, some big French stores and large dealers are looking for clothing suppliers in the Mediterranean countries closer to Europe.
At the European Mediterranean coastal city fashion conference recently, the head of the French shopping centre, the French Lord of Buddha, said that 95% of the garments made by French old Buddha's shop were manufactured in Asia. In the future, they are looking for manufacturers in the Mediterranean coastal countries to produce high-end fashions with short production cycles.
Gadi Orr, head of textiles at Carrefour Group, said that Carrefour's garments will not be fully purchased from Asia in the future. Carrefour will keep 60% from Asia and the rest will be produced in small quantities in the Mediterranean coastal countries as needed.
Gardiner believes that China's attractiveness has been reduced due to wage increases, and that China's own factories are also moving to other countries, which are more convenient for stock management than those near France.
