Import Volume Of Nantong Chemical Fiber Filament Is Getting Warmer And Warmer

According to the statistics of Nantong inspection and Quarantine Bureau, in April 2008, 502.24 tons of imported chemical fiber filament and 1 million 525 thousand and 400 dollars worth of goods were imported into Nantong area. After that, the fluctuation of the total amount fell to 113.09 tons and 489 thousand and 200 US dollars respectively in January this year. Compared with the same period last year, the import volume and the value of goods dropped by 77.85% and 73.39%, respectively.

Statistics also showed that in February this year, the import volume of chemical fiber filament in Nantong was 166.95 tons, and its value was $572 thousand and 700, which decreased by 60.19% and 57.88% respectively compared with the same period last year. However, compared with last month, it increased by 47.63% and 17.07% respectively, showing a trend of rising and falling.

The chemical fiber filament in Nantong is mainly imported from foreign owned enterprises, which is used for processing high-grade clothing and tooling fabrics, automobile cloth and upholstery cloth, and most of them are sold abroad.

According to industry analysis, the main reasons for the rise of chemical fiber filament imports in Nantong are:

1. Wholly foreign-owned enterprises use their convenient channels for international trade to increase orders.

Two, after the international financial crisis, the price of chemical filament yarn has declined greatly, and has the advantage of buying.
