Common Knowledge Of Leather Color Preparation
Traditionally, we call the finishing agent a color paste or jacket oil.
After coating, the leather coat forms a thin coating on the surface.
The coating can be formulated by a single coating, or by multiple coating. Multiple formulations can also be formed by multiple coating.
In the actual operation of leather clothing, in order to simplify the operation process conveniently, we usually use a formula through one or more applications.
The formulation of color paste should be clear about the purpose and function of the formulation, and formulated according to the situation of garment leather and the requirements of consumers.
Generally speaking, the better the quality of garment leather, the simpler the coating needed.
The poorer the quality of the clothing, the higher the comprehensive performance of the coating needed, the more annoying the lock is.
1. Proper proportions
Different materials occupy different proportions, and their functions in the formula are different.
Therefore, the proportions of various materials should be determined according to the purpose and material properties of the formulation.
In particular, attention should be paid to the ratio of film forming agent to pigment paste.
If the pigment paste is too small, the color will not reach the requirement, and the covering power will be poor. If the pigment is too much, the mechanical properties of the coating are poor, easy to decolorization, and not wet.
For example, if the leather is old, the proportion of pigment paste can be appropriately increased, and the hiding power of color paste should be increased.
We should also pay attention to the local climatic conditions. The cold resistance, extensibility and adhesion of general soft resin are better than that of hard resin, but the wear resistance and heat resistance are not as good as those of hard resin. Therefore, the proportion of soft resin and hard resin should be reduced appropriately in areas with high temperature and humidity in the south, and the proportion of soft resin and the proportion of hard resin should be increased appropriately in cold and dry areas in the north.
1. The ratio of pigment paste to film forming agent:
The pigment paste gives the color of the leather in the finishing process, and it also plays a role of covering. This is very important for leather clothing.
In the process of wearing leather, the color will become obsolete, with chromatic aberration, skin abrasion and dirty. These phenomena can not be achieved by cleaning alone.
To a large extent, fur clothing must rely on the covering effect of pigment paste.
The film forming agent is colorless pparent emulsion, and does not possess the covering ability. Therefore, the proportion of pigment paste can not be too low in the preparation of color paste, otherwise the performance of pigment paste is poor.
However, the pigment and leather fibers do not have any binding force. It is attached to the leather surface by means of film forming agent, so the pigment ratio can not be too large, otherwise the coating will easily fall off and fade.
Before determining the formula, the function and relationship should be clear. Increasing the proportion of pigment paste or reducing the proportion of film forming agent will increase the hiding power of color paste, but the coating performance will be easy to fade. On the contrary, the head will reduce the proportion of pigment paste or increase the proportion of film forming agent, the dry and wet properties of color paste will increase, but the hiding power of color paste will decrease.
For example, the leather is dirty, the color is outdated and the color difference is large. In order to increase the covering power of the coating, the proportion of the pigment paste can be appropriately increased, and the proportion of the pigment paste can be appropriately reduced for the leather garments with better appearance, so as to improve the comprehensive performance of the coating.
In general, resin is 2~3 times as much as pigment paste.
2. The proportion of soft and hard resin.
The characteristics of soft and hard resin are: the cold resistance, adhesion and elongation of soft resin are better than that of hard resin, but their wear resistance is worse than that of hard resin. After drying, fur clothing still has sticky phenomenon. It is easy to stick together in summer storage and bring inconvenience to our normal use.
In the preparation of color paste, we should make a detailed analysis according to the specific conditions, and decide the proportion of soft and hard resin in the film forming agent according to the leather coat condition and local climate.
For example, the leather coat is large and the handle is soft, and the proportion of soft resin can be increased appropriately. At the same time, the resistance of film forming agent should be considered. If the humidity is high and humidity is high, the ratio of hard resin should be increased to reduce the proportion of soft resin. On the contrary, in north cold areas, the proportion of soft resin should be increased appropriately, and the proportion of rigid resin should be reduced.
In addition, it is also necessary to consider that the leather garments worn in season and winter should be more soft than those worn in spring and autumn.
The proportion of soft and hard resin is soft but not sticky.
Two. Reasonable choice of finishing materials.
The finishing formula is made of different materials in a certain proportion, so it is very important to choose the finishing material reasonably.
Each material has its advantages and disadvantages.
In particular, film-forming agents usually use two or more than two kinds of materials, such as acrylic resin, polyurethane, protein and other film-forming agents.
We should also pay attention to the reasonable matching of soft and hard materials, so that the comprehensive properties of coatings are excellent.
For matte or matte finishing, avoid using high gloss material and choose suitable matting agent.
1. Selection of film-forming agents
The choice of film-forming agent depends mainly on the characteristics of film forming agent, the state of leather coat and the requirements of customers.
Acrylic adhesiveness, elongation, aging resistance is good, but poor resistance to coating, easy to appear: "hot sticky cold crisp" phenomenon; polyurethane has better performance in all aspects, but lower solid content and higher cost than acrylic acid; protein film-forming agent is natural film forming material, gloss bright, natural, hygienic, weatherability, wear-resistance and organic solvent performance better than other synthetic finishing agents, but the coating has poor water resistance, film forming and extension; nitrocellulose emulsion is good in dry wet rubbing and organic solvent resistance, but the coating is not aging resistant and feels slightly hard.
Generally speaking, each film forming agent has its advantages and disadvantages. Some film forming agents have good gloss but poor adhesion. Some film forming agents have good adhesion, but their weathering resistance and aging resistance are poor.
It is difficult to achieve ideal results by using one material alone. Usually two or more than two film-forming agents are mixed together or suitable additives are added to obtain the desired properties.
2. Selection of coloring materials
The most commonly used coloring materials are pigments and creams, and also the wiping paste and dyestuffs.
The high fineness pigment paste has the characteristics of good covering property and thin coating. It is the most ideal refurbishment material for leather.
Three. Suitable concentration.
If the leather is outdated, the color paste concentration should be appropriately increased. The thicker the coating agent is, the stronger the covering power is, the thicker the coating will be. If the quality of the leather clothing is better, the color paste concentration should be reduced appropriately. The thinner the finishing agent, the smaller the covering power, the thinner the coating is, the stronger the dermal feeling is.
Usually, the bottom pulp is thicker than the surface paste, and the top layer is generally thinner and thinly sprayed.
Therefore, the coating concentration should be decided according to the coating method.
For grain leather with good grain size, less damage and good leather quality, it should be lightly coated with a thin coating agent to show the grain and good handle.
In addition, the finishing agents for Scrub (brushing) should be relatively thick, and the gunning agents should be relatively thin.
