Most Of China'S First ACA Came From The Auditing Industry.

In May 7th, the England and Welsh Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAEW) and the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CPA) held the graduation awards ceremony in Beijing to award trophies and prizes to 13 Chinese graduates who completed the first ACA examination. This marks the first batch of ICAEW members in China.

ICAEW CEO Michael Izza and Chen Yugui, Secretary General of the Chinese Institute of certified public accountants, presented awards and delivered speeches to students.

In his speech, Secretary General Chen Yugui said that to promote the scientific and comprehensive and sustainable development of the CPA profession, we must first create a contingent of accountants who can meet the needs of social development, adapt to the development of modern science and technology, and have the ability of innovation and pioneering spirit.

Since 2006, CPA and ICAEW have launched the ACA joint training project, which aims to train a group of high-level talents with overseas qualifications and international standards through the platform of overseas accountants' professional organizations to promote the development of the industry.

In the past three years, two associations have made many efforts for this project. Today, the first batch of students to graduate is not only the success of the students, but also the achievement of the project.

Secretary General Chen hoped that the industry comrades would make full use of the learning platform provided by training projects including the ACA project, improve their overall quality, study the industry rules, and plan for greater development of the industry.

Mr. Michael Izza said that it is the original intention of ICAEW to establish a joint project with CPA, which is the purpose of establishing CPA's qualification for overseas accountants and cultivating high-level professionals who can undertake international business and meet the needs of international development of accounting profession. Today, I am very pleased to see that these students have successfully completed the ACA project examination and become the first batch of Chartered Accountants in China.

In the period of economic downturn, how to cultivate talents and retain talents is more important. ICAEW is willing to train more excellent business elite for China with more than 100 years of professional experience.

At the award ceremony, Mr. Cheng Yanhua, the only Chinese CABA scholarship winner in the world, presented the award.
