The National Day Car Will Be Displayed In The Tiananmen Square In October 2Nd

From the Beijing capital National Day 60th anniversary mass parade headquarters, it is learned that there are currently 58 National Day floats from October 2nd to October 7th in the Tiananmen square. After that, some of the floats will be pulled back to the local display. Some of the floats will adjust some elements and then appear again in World Expo, Shanghai.

According to Liu Ying, executive director of the mass procession command of the National Day 60th anniversary and the head of the color car department, the National Day mass parade includes 60 car floats, 4 leader portrait vehicles and 1 prop vehicles used for progressive performances. These vehicles are now assembled in the Beijing Workers Stadium.

In the 60 floats, 19 floats showed the comprehensive achievements of all walks of life and fronts across the country. 31 floats showed the features and achievements of the provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government. 3 floats displayed the typical elements of Hongkong, Macao, two special administrative regions and Taiwan's customs, urban construction and so on.

Liu Ying said that in light of the principle of frugality, every flov has developed a recycling plan.

After the display in Tiananmen square, some of the floats will be brought back to the area to show in local squares, museums and other places. Some equipment on the bus, such as LED display, will also be reused. Some of the cars will be shown in World Expo, Shanghai next year after a little adjustment.

According to the briefing, most of the design and production of national day float cars started in March this year.

After the two review in April and May, all the floats completed the creative design and entered the production stage in July 1st.

In addition to the production of 19 floats in other provinces and municipalities, all other floats are made in Beijing.

In August 10th, Beijing Chaoyang Sports Center color car village assembly site began to start, in September 5th, all the floats completed assembly, acceptance and all kinds of personnel training.

In September 6th and September 18th, the floats took part in drills and rehearsals at Tiananmen square.
