As the first Chinese fashion designer to enter the Paris advanced custom fashion week, Marco has been named the outstanding global Chinese fashion designer in 2006.
Mark's difference is considered to be her unusual professional skill and critical attitude towards fashion in today's society.
In Marco's view, maintaining the diversity of tradition and culture is a responsibility of designers under the background of globalization. She said, "I want to do something that may not be useful at the moment but will be valuable later."
Since 1996, mark has been leading the fashion brand "exceptions". In 2006, it launched the "useless" art and fashion brand with the theme of reuse and sustainability. Its materials include recycled materials and things picked up, such as making sheets of stained paint into a skirt, making a tarpaulin into an oversized coat, an abandoned garbage bag for pporting construction waste, and Marco just dug two holes on it, so that the arm can be stretched out, and after simple dyeing, the garbage bag becomes a coat.
Marco's studio is in Zhuhai, Guangdong, where there are even textile machines in nineteenth Century.
Lishan Da van slobo is one of the first designers to represent Holland on the world fashion design map, and is a pioneer in the fashion design world of Holland.
In his works for the "design standpoint", he used his works to explain his design ideas and techniques. The costumes were hand embroidered, and their structures were reminiscent of traditional Chinese dress made of cloth.
Van slob is incompatible with the phenomenon of "big brand obsession" and "mass loss caused by mass production". He only carries out clothing design with small output, and completely sews in Holland to create another new luxury.
Van slob often uses almost past forgotten traditional handicraft methods to design and emphasize the connotation and quality of clothes. In order to get the correct form and structure, he also uses the "three-dimensional cutting technology" to design and create directly on the models.
In his design, "abstraction" is an important thread. The clothes he designs usually contain simple and crisp block fragments and stitch them inside or above to produce an elegant effect that is perfectly matched with the shape of the model.
