Schools Around The Pile Of Waste &Nbsp; Children Worry About Safety.

The machine was roaring, and a hair dryer was spinning. A smell of choking was scattered around. An iron staircase on a small house is exposed outside the building. Local residents say it is used for loading and unloading goods. On the pavement beside the small house, there are various kinds of waste materials stacked up, which are written on "scrap branch" and "scrap sole" respectively. These are all known as "Shengfeng shoe industry Co., Ltd." (hereinafter referred to as Shengfeng shoes industry).

At 11 noon, the children crowded out of the school gate, and some ran quickly from the front of the factory with their noses. A big sister who came to pick up her child said that her child had just transferred to this school in March. "One feels that there is a pungent smell here, and I am worried about the impact on the child's body, but there is no way." Another parent worried: "the cargo ladder is built on the outside of the building without any shelter. Children walk under this cargo ladder everyday. It is really dangerous."

The reporter learned from the school that there were about 500 students in the kindergarten and primary school. Most students had to enter and leave the gate every day and had to pass through the factory's waste dump.

In March 16th, the two time he called Mr. Lin, head of Shengfeng shoe industry, refused to be interviewed on the grounds that he had made a wrong call. In March 17th, the reporter went with the law enforcement officers of the Jinjiang Environmental Protection Bureau's pit brigade. Once the scene was changed, the hair dryer of the small house was dug up. Most of the waste that was stacked on the road surface was cleaned up. Only the cargo ladder was still exposed. At the same time, there was a sudden pile of waste at the school gate. The reporters saw that the packaging of these wastes was the same as those stacked near the shoe factory yesterday.

The Environmental Protection Bureau and his office found a manager of Fu Xing, who said he was not in charge and could not provide EIA. He explained that the small house did not exhaust gas, but the generator steam, due to long-term closure and internal oil and so there is a peculiar smell. As for the pile of waste, he said it was a school. "Where we pollute the school, the pollution of our school is worse than ours." Fu manager said.

"Even if the enterprise has environmental impact assessment, it has not passed the formal acceptance of the environmental protection department, and the formalities are not yet perfect." Captain Lin said that about two weeks ago, when the safety inspection was carried out, the shoe factory had been ordered to rectify, including glue should use benzene free glue, exhaust pipe should meet the relevant discharge requirements, and the relevant supervision system of environmental protection should be strictly enforced.

Lin said, normally, the exhaust pipe should be discharged to the high altitude and at least 5 meters above the surrounding houses. At present, law enforcement officers of Jinjiang Environmental Protection Bureau have ordered Shengfeng shoe industry to carry out rectification on the spot.
