Luxury Shoes Jimmy&Nbsp; Choo Masters Fight For Shoes.
From Browns's salesperson to Vogue's accessories editor, and then to the head of the Jimmy Choo women's shoes Kingdom, Tamara Mellon's luck, brains and wrist are all impressive.
In the eyes of the world, Tamara Mellon is the embodiment of Jimmy Choo high heeled shoes: sexy, gorgeous, smart, independent and strong.
And, as you might expect, even in her huge shoe cabinet, she can't remember the number of shoes (800 pairs).
And almost all came from Jimmy Choo.
Except for sports shoes and Ugg, it is only temporary, because Jimmy Choo has already worked with Ugg, and the sports shoes will come out in a few months.
14 years ago, Tamara, who was the editor of the British edition "Vogue", took the 250 thousand pound of father TomYeardye investment, and co founded the Jimmy Choo brand with the Chinese made shoemaker Zhou Yangjie (Jimmy Choo).
Today, Tamara has monopolize the hundreds of millions of dollars in the legendary women's shoes Kingdom, but the other two are no longer there.
In 2001, Zhou Yangjie sold 51% of his shares and made a customized shoemaker.
In 2004, TomYeardye died suddenly due to a brain tumor.
After that, Tamara's business is booming, but life is not very smooth.
In 2005, she divorced her husband.
In 2007, she ended the struggle for rights within the board of directors, successfully replacing the investors and consolidating her position.
In 2008, she fought a lawsuit against her mother and fought for equity. Finally, she won.
She did not care to leave a cruel impression on others.
"People think they know me. In fact, everyone's life is complicated.
Sometimes we are hurt by people we love.
What matters is how you do it. This kind of life does not make you stronger or destroy you.
She confessed that her childhood was so bad that she could not get her family's approval.
Over the years, I have been desperately trying to get out of the shadows to prove myself.
"I never rely on men, including husbands, boyfriends and fathers."
This sentence can be engraved on the sole of each pair of Jimmy Choo high heels.
Q: over the past few years, the internal variables of Jimmy Choo have kept on coming.
Are you satisfied with the company's current situation?
A: I like to keep innovating, but not everyone in the company thinks so.
So I changed some of the new people who had the same opinion with me.
Our pformation is quite successful, even in the economic downturn, our business is also very good.
Q: fashion designer and businesswoman, which title do you prefer?
A: my current official title is the founder and chairman of the brand, but it does not reflect my job. I should change my title to art director.
Q: you don't like the image of beautiful women?
A: I'm not sure what the public thinks of me. Maybe the media has shaped me like that.
But reality and imagination are two different things.
There was an article portrayed my ex husband as a pair of "golden children". Ironically, our relationship was very bad at that time.
The reality is that Jimmy Choo has been in the Italy factory for several years when I first set up, and I have done every job, including cleaning.
Q: what made you work so hard at the beginning?
A: first, passion for fashion.
The two is for freedom, to get rid of the mess of the family.
I never rely on men, including husbands, boyfriends and fathers. This is very important.
Q: now that you have achieved a successful and independent life, why do you have to fight hard, even at court with your mother?
A: from small to large, I can't praise anything I do.
I had a lawsuit with my mother because she had paranoia and lied.
Although I have achieved success, I still can not get my family's approval.
I only continue to prove that they are wrong.
Q: are you the kind of person who can put his private affairs behind him if he goes to work?
A: I think I can, but these things will destroy other aspects of your life, frustrating you, and suppressing your potential as if you were tied to the boxing ring.
But everything is over. I think everything will be better in the next few years.
People will see all my strength, whether in work or in personal terms.
Q: you moved from London to New York last year, is this a sign of starting a new life?
A: I love New York!
But I have been flying all over the world, so I still feel that I have settled down.
Q:Ugg and Jimmy Choo do not match each other. Why do we think of cooperation with them?
Do you go through Ugg?
The strength of A:Ugg is that everyone wears, and my shoe cabinet also has Ugg.
Because they are too comfortable to wear.
If we integrate the genes of Jimmy Choo into this classic boot, women will love it.
Q: do you like shoes when you were young?
A: of course.
When I was 16 years old, I wore Azzedine Alaia shoes when I went to boarding school in Switzerland.
I worked as a salesperson at the Alaia counter of Browns department store, but I spent more than I earned, and I was in debt when I left.
Q:Alaia was your favorite brand at that time?
A: my current wardrobe can be traced back to the mid 1980s, and I started buying brand-name fashion from that time.
At first, I bought Alaia, then went through the Vivienne Westwood stage, and then the designer...
Remember?
He always used drapes to make clothes, which was very popular at that time, and the curtain like cloth trousers were all worn by everyone.
In the same period, I wore jeans shorts and Martin boots.
After that, in the age of Hip-Hop, everyone wore sneakers.
Q: who is your fashion icon?
A: I love Lou Dillon, Kate Moss, Carine Roitfeld.
However, Bianca Jagger in 1970s is my ultimate idol.
I like strong women and I like that era. That's the age of nightlife and club, but women are all very sexy, not slovenly.
I like dressed women, but I don't like fashionable men, because that's not sexy. Jeans, shoes, leather jackets are the best.
