Harbin Vocational High School Cut Off Clothing Professional Setup

Recently, some vocational schools in Harbin began to demonstrate the professional setup of this autumn's enrollment. In the finalized enrollment plan, some schools cut off the clothing profession. The reason is that since last year, students who applied for this major were unable to start classes.

According to a vocational middle school teacher, every year when the vocational school set up the enrollment plan, teachers should be sent to the personnel market, employment service center and large-scale business place in advance to gather employment information. Teachers have learned for several years that the garment processing workers in the garment city are very willing to have young clothing technicians. Not only the clothing processing households who are in front of shops, but also the clothing majors who need to graduate from high vocational schools, even those who sell curtains and sheets need a garment technician to process the site for customers.

Now, however, students and parents think that when a garment technician runs a sewing machine, they are tired, low wages and board people. Some clothing processing shop owners also say that because young people can't sit on the bench, clothing processing can only recruit some laid-off workers.

It is understood that at present, there are four or five vocational schools in Harbin, but the source of clothing majors is shrinking. Last autumn, only 10 students entered for the "professional" clothing specialty enrollment. After the start of the course, 9 students asked to pfer to the specialized classes of e-commerce or arts and crafts, and only one student was willing to attend classes in the clothing class.
