The Guangzhou Quality Supervision Bureau inspected 80 batches of leather products including knapsack, handbag, wallet and leather belt, with a pass rate of 75%. In the spot checks of footwear products, a total of 58 batches of footwear products were selected, with a pass rate of 72.4%. Among them, Guangzhou Baiyun District, the two shoe manufacturers of Sam Chee boots and Guangzhou Changfeng Shoes Co., Ltd., produced by the shoe factory in Guangzhou, have two decomposed aromatic amine dyes produced by Changfeng shoe industry Co., Ltd., which belong to substandard products. Guangzhou Quality Supervision Bureau has ordered relevant enterprises to find safety hazards and deadline for rectification.

The company official told reporters that at that time, because of the shortage of raw material suppliers, they bought leather temporarily on the market, but they did not expect to buy the unqualified products. "The leather shoes were produced nearly 100 pairs at that time. After the inspection failed, they were all destroyed."
Guangzhou Changfeng shoe industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Changfeng company) said that the company has resumed production after rectification. After rectification, the Guangzhou quality supervision and Testing Research Institute re examined the leather shoes of Changfeng company, and the results showed that they could meet the standards and continue to produce.
