The Last Cotton Bomb Shop In Hangzhou

In the city of Hangzhou, there used to be more than 200 cotton mills, and now there is only one.

The "Pan Yongtai cotton store", located in ancient Hefangjie Street, is the last cotton spinning workshop in Hangzhou city. Pan Wen Biao and his wife are making a cotton blanket for guests.

A little older Hangzhou people are more or less impressed with the cotton flower. Ten years ago, there were often "cotton bombs master" walking around the streets to shout. When the weather was good, there were several teachers in a district who were busy playing cotton quilts for all households, giving out the sound of "bang" and "bang".

Pan Wenbiao was born in Hangzhou and grew up in Hangzhou. When he was less than one year old, his parents used to step on the ball machine on his back. As time goes by, the noise of the flower maker was just like lullaby to him.

Ever since he could walk, he had the courage to use his weight to slow down his pedals and enjoy it.

Young Pan Wenbiao learned to play all the way of cotton, and even had high attainments in the design of cotton tire. He made great achievements both in chain, double happiness, flowers and birds and kylin, and won praise from his father and his fellow teachers.

In 1956, Pan Wenbiao inherited his father's career and began to play cotton.
