China Textile Science Research Institute, textile industry productivity promotion center, Beijing Textile Engineering Society and Changzhou people's Government of Jiangsu Province recently held an International Symposium on functional textile new materials and low carbon economy in Changzhou, Jiangsu.

Nearly 200 people from the domestic and foreign textile industry experts, scholars and business representatives attended the meeting, in-depth exchange of functional textile new materials and low carbon economy development.

Zhao Qiang, President of the Chinese Academy of textile science, pointed out at the meeting that developing low-carbon economy is not only a consensus among countries, but also a conscious action of people.

More and more textile enterprises consciously carry out energy conservation and emission reduction, and many consumers consciously buy products with low environmental pollution.

Facing the increasingly severe resource situation, the textile industry must take a low carbon and environmental protection development path.

Mei Ziqiang, academician of the Chinese Academy of textile engineering, pointed out that speeding up the structural adjustment and promoting the industrial upgrading point out that the development of industrial textiles should focus on the development, application and industrialization of functional fibers and high technology fibers. It is the main raw material for industrial flame retardant textiles and the development direction of flame retardant textiles for clothing. The experts of Donghua University and Xi'an Polytechnic University introduced the latest hybrid technology and interface theory of textile materials, and the latest research trends and achievements of developing new fibers using chicken feather.
